Profile

Situated among the Chianti hills, upon a rise overlooking valleys which are rich in history, is the Villa San Bartolomeo. The ancient manor house, owned by the Sernigi family-rich merchants and patrons of great painter in the fifteenth century-then became the house of the Naldini Del Riccio family and subsequently transformed into a rural dwelling in the eighteenth century.

In the 1950s the property was purchased by the Corti family and has since been brought back to its past splendor through restoration which has not only maintained its architectural beauty but which has also emphsised the natural harmony which bonds this building to the Tuscan landscape.

The Villa, situated in the thousand year old hamlet of Bartolomeo,
surrounded by a park containing olives, roses and mediterranean herb plants, has large swimming pool (mt 15x7) and also courtyards which can be enjoyed in fine weather.

Furnished with antique furniture, the Villa offers large sitting room with hundred year old fireplace, a very large and completely equipped kitchen and a big service area.

The beautiful countryside encorauges
trekking and mountain biking along many varied routes.

Mountain bikes are provided for use.

Wine, oil and other
local produce may be purchased through the owners.

Tennis courts and a horse riding centre are located within a short distance of the Villa.
