We hadn't realized that the villa required cash payment at checkout, so we had to go to a nearby bank ATM to get cash. It would be nice to pay with a credit card. ... I didn't remember reading that there was a washing machine in the villa. There was one and it was nice to have. It also had a second fireplace in the master bedroom. The bathrooms were very nice! Very nice, modern villa. ... The villa had awesome views from all rooms including the covered porch! This was a great villa to stay at because it was a convenient location to Chianti wine region, Siena, Volterra, and Florence, and it had very nice restaurants within a few kilometers. The staff was very helpful and catered to our every need. We felt very safe with the security system.

The directions to the property are accurate with the exception of how to find the correct road from the autostrada to San Casciano. For first time drivers in this area we missed the turning onto the main road and arrived in San Casciano by way of the lesser road. ... see below ... We really enjoyed the whole villa experience. Strolling the wonderful gardens with a glass of Chianti in the evenings watching the sunsets over the Tuscan landscape. We also enjoyed the friendliness of the local village, Mercatale.
