Villa Loghino is built on the right side of the river Era, and is located in the very heart of the beautiful Tuscan countryside - an area with many paths where nature lovers can go for relaxing walks in the forest. Villa Loghino was the first oil mill in Volterra, later abandoned, until it became the house of a cardinal for some years. Recently it has been the house of tuscan farmers.

In 1980 the property was bought by Carla e Vittorio Scali, who immediately restored the whole house in order to make the property their holiday house. Situated 5 km away from Volterra, less than 40 km away from the seaside and within a short distance from the main places of cultural interest such as Siena (50 km), San Gimignano (20 km), Florence (90 km) or Pisa (60 km).
