Where We Are

Via Marconi, 13, Radicondoli, 53030

The villa is located just 200 mt away from the small historical village of Radicondoli. Set on the top of a hill, which views the whole surrounding countryside (narrow and steep driveway): the Val d'Elsa on the one side and the Val di Cecina on the other. Within short time it is possible to reach Siena, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, the Abbey of San Galgano with the mystery of the sword in the rock, Massa Marittima as well as the famous villages of the Chianti Classico area. Other places like Florence, Volterra and the coast of the Maremma can be reached within one hour by car. Those who love nature, can go on foot, by bike or on horseback on the numerous trekking routes.

Join the Autostrada in the direction ROMA and leave it shortly afterwards at the exit FIRENZE - CERTOSA . From here follow the direction above.

COMING FROM FLORENCE AIRPORT, PERETOLA: Turn right on leaving the airport and follow the green motorway signs up the road. Enter the motorway at FIRENZE NORD following the direction ROMA. If you prefer motorway travel, although is a longer journey, take the Autostrada del Sole A1 From Roma as far as FIRENZE, then turn back towards Siena from exit FIRENZE - CERTOSA as above *ARRIVING FROM THE NORTH.

DRIVING: Whether you are driving your own car or a hired vehicle it is most important that you carry your driving license and the car's insurance with you at all times. The Carabinieri and The Police ("Polizia") do stop checks of both vehicles and drivers' documents all the time. If uniformed policemen bristling with machine guns and self-importance wave lollipops at you, don't panic, but please, do stop! They will want to see your licence, log book and insurance. They may kick your tyres and check your lights and brakes. The Younger and prettier you are, the longer they will spend discussing your motor car. They are generally very polite and friendly. Naturally the armoury induces a polite, even servile reaction from all but the most audacious driver! Speed limits are nastily in force with ruinous fines. Even if you are driving a hired car such fines will eventually catch up with you. These speed limits change depending on the type of road. They also change without much warning from one season to another. This helps the Italian government to collect some of the taxes it loses from the income tax declarations of its native population and assist in holiday funds for its politicians.

PETROL (GAS): Station follow shop hours except on motorways or 24 hr. stations, so that a petrol station displaying an "APERTO" (OPEN) sign at 3 pm is showing that it is open during shop hours on that day, not that it is open at the moment Petrol Station 24hr. near Radicondoli is in Colle Val d'Elsa. In Radicondoli there isn't Petrol station.
