Where We Are

Via Chiantigiana, Panzano In Chianti, Greve In Chianti, 50020

The villa sits on a 53 hectare (130 acre) estate. It is situated in the hilly, southern most region of Panzano, an area generally acknowledged as the premium region of Chianti Classico and is surrounded by the rolling hills of the Conca d'Oro (golden conch). The surrounding countryside is rugged and hilly, dotted with vineyards, olive groves and forests. The villa is conveniently located 3km (1.8 miles) south of Panzano on the Chiantigiana (S222), the main wine route through Chianti Classico and Siena to the south (28 km/17 miles).

How To Reach Us

By Car
Directions from Panzano: from the Panzano village square, head south (direction Siena/Castellina) on the Chiantigiana (S222). After about 3 km, you will come to a fork in the road where you will veer to the right (direction Castellina): Villa Bernardi is the first entrance on the right.
Getting to Monte Bernardi is very easy. Monte Bernardi is situated on the Via Chiantigiana (or the SS222), the main thoroughfare between Florence and Siena.

Directions from the Florence: From the A1, exit at "Firenze-Certosa". After leaving the toll booth, take the first right in the roundabout (direction Siena/Via Senese, SR2). Stay on the SR2 until the San Donato exit (16km). Take this exit and turn left at the junction (direction Castellina and Gaiole in Chianti). Stay on this road. Immediately after driving past "San Donato in Poggio", turn left (direction Greve in Chianti). Note: this left turn is easy to overlook as its view is blocked by a structure directly prior to the turn. Once on this road, you will drive through the villages of Badia a Sicelle and San Giorgio alle Piazza. After driving through the later (piazza), take a left onto Via Chiantigiana (SS 222) (direction Greve in Chianti). The SS222 will take you up a windy hill; about half way up, turn left into Monte Bernardi. Monte Bernardi is the second left on the SS222. There is no house number, but in front of the iron gate there is a terracotta amphora on which 'Monte Bernardi' is signed. Ring either of the bells titled 'Vendita Diretta' or 'Monte Bernardi'.

NOTE: if you come to an intersection, with the road on the left leading to Panzano and the road on the right leading to Radda, you've gone too far.

By Plane
If you arrive at Pisa airport, take the train to Firenze Santa Maria Novella and then rent a car and follow the above directions. If you prefer, we can organise a transfer for you at an extra charge.

By Train
The nearest railway station is in Florence. From the Florence you can easily reach the villa by bus; however renting a car is highly recommended as this is a rural area.
