Very friendly family welcome.

We had a lovely stay. The evening meal was exceptionally good. We were offered two choices. Both were basic, but excellent quality, local-produce options, beautifully cooked. The 'house'wine was a real find. If you bought in your own fresh food, Papa would help you cook it on the hotel's garden barbecue/oven. It was always on - ready to receive whatever needed cooking for the Villa's daily bread, pizza, meat and other produce needs.
We stayed in the garden chalet which was simple, clean and had a very comfortable bed and comprehensive bathroom facilities.

The photograph on the website depicts the Hotel in an idyllic setting. When you first arrive there is some disappointment at finding a scruffy low-rise factory across the road. Do not, however, let this put you off. It does not in anyway detract from the secluded and pleasureable experience which will be afforded to you during your stay at this hotel.

It's a great place to come back to and relax, after spending a hectic day out, visiting the surrounding cities and Tuscan hinterland.

The family provided us with maps and
information about Lastra a Signa and
Florence plus some of the wonderful local
restaurants which was greatly appreciated.

The family are involved in a wonderful
restaurant that is located in the beautiful
Tuscany country side. With fabulous Tuscan
foods and magnificent views. Approximately a
15 minute drive from the B&B.

Very highly recommended. The accomodation is
very clean and comfortable. The family are
very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast
are delicious. Villa al Piano is very quite
and relaxing. Easily accessable to Florence
and all the lovely parts of Tuscany.

Lena at Villa al Piano is a jewel. We were very tired and had been lost a couple of times. She met us with a smile and made us feel very welcome.

Lena and Adolpho were superb hosts. We will always remember our stay as the hosts made it one of the highlights of our trip. I would highly reccomend them.

Once again very smooth even though we didn't speak Italian.

Philomena and Adolfo were right there and helped take our bags upstairs. Great people.

We could not have asked for more gracious hosts. They went above and beyond the call of duty. It certainly made our stay in Tuscany most memorable. When we returned from exhausting days touring, no matter the hour, they were right there making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We indeed felt like family. Highly recommend this lovely Villa.

We were served a lovely breakfast prior to departing and Adolfa assisted with our bags. The only problem we encountered was 'Brunello' the family dog who apparently thought we were family too and was reluctant to let us leave. Our account was settled with no problems.

For those not willing to drive in Florence traffic ( we won't) The hosts made arrangements for a taxi for us, again most graciously. The cost was resonable and certainly less stressful than figuring out where we were at the end of the day. We were able to take tours out of Florence in a convienent location.
