| One of the attractions in the area surrounding Villa Veronica is the Salimbeni palace, built in the 14th century. Named after a wealthy family of merchants and Siena bankers, it features a façade in bright stone and Gothic triple bay windows. If you like it you could also visit the Spanocchi palace, built by Giuliano da Maiano: it has a lovely Renaissance façade. If you have rented a car for your stay at Villa Veronica you must travel to close by destinations that deserve a visit. San Gimignano is 35 kms away, Montalcino, 49 kms far, and San Galgano, 35 kms far. |
