The hotel was superb. The only criticism is the dirt-track needed to reach the hotel from the main road. Very bumpy and a bit scary at times, particularly at night. ... Tranquil, beautiful and fanatstic setting amongst Tuscan vineyards

The road directions meant that we travelled an additional hour as they were not relevant to those travelling from the south of tuscany, only the north. This should be rectified. ... Podere le Vigne was fantastic and we have already recommended it to a number of people. ... fantastic, peaceful location. Ideally situated for touring Tuscany. Lovely clean accomodation and great pool. Excellent restaurant.

Though there was nobody at the reception desk (we arrived after the desk closed,) a note had been left for us, directing us to our room. ... The room was fine, although it would have been good to have a fan in the room since it was so hot. ... Getting a room over the dining patio can be problematic if you try to go to bed before the dinner service is over. Since we could not close the windows because it was so hot, we had to wait until dinner was over and everything had been put away to fall asleep. The noise was the only problem. ... It was a lovely hotel, in a great location. The view from our room was beautiful.

Our host was very friendly and helpful on our first trip to the Radda in Chianti area. He helped us to make an important call to home and get familiarized with the hotel and the area ... Should consider heating the pool via solar blanket in order to take advantage of heat provided by the Tuscan Sun...but was very refreshing!
Maybe add a toaster to the breakfast buffet area in the morning and boiled eggs. In this way, you would be very similar to hotels in Rome and Florence ... Picturesque, romantic and relaxing Tuscan cottage in the middle of a working vineyard

We were thrilled with the Podere le Vigne. The accommodations were wonderful. The surroundings and the property were beautiful, and the food in the adjoining restaurant extremely good, although somewhat expensive. The only suggestions for improvement would be to provide a little more for breakfast -- fruit and a better selection of breads, perhaps. ... The proximity to Radda in Chianti is a plus. It is a delightful town with a lovely assortment of stores and restaurants, as well as a convenient internet point. ... Absolutely wonderful. Very attractive, comfortable, clean, restful, in the beautiful Tuscan contryside.

We were very happy with the accommodations. The only fault was the TV was not working but as far as I was concerned TV wasn't necessary. The staff was always polite and very helpful regarding any requests. ... I believe the hotel met all our expectations and I would not hestiate to revisit or recommend the facility. ... Quaint hotel in the middle of Tuscony conveniently located among the many villages between Florence and Siena. Five star resturant provided excellent cuisine and was very conveniently located on the lower level. Opportunity for a quiet respite in the heart of of the rolling hills of Tuscony.

The breakfasts were too sparse - no fruit just bread and pastry. ... Comfortable accommodation in a converted country property and outbuildings close to a pretty village. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable (although without air conditioning so can be hot in summer months). Beautiful countryside complete with vineyards surrounds the property and it's welcoming swimming pool.

Very beatiful location in the middle of a vineyard. On-site restaurant was one of the best we found in all of Tuscany. ... I would stay there again. ... Beautiful, quaint, authenic Italian experience

Except for the first night, when we had to stay in another house, due to the fact that a guest that was supposed to leave was sick and had to stay in our room an extra day. The other place wasn´t half as nice as Podere le Vigne and we had to share bathrooms with other people. It was ok though, because they gave us a price reduction. ... The restaurant there is definately a big plus! Great food (especialy the desserts) and it´s nice to be able to drink wine without worrying about driving. ... As written above, the restaurant is really nice. The breakfast is however REALLY BAD!!! ... Wonderful and charming, quietly located hotel where you´re terrasse is a couple of metres from the vineyards. Extremely good for reloading your batteries. Nice pool. Great restaurant.

We had to leave early the last morning but no one was available to do it before 9 am. so we did it the night before. We were lucky that we asked about it otherwise we would have left without doing proper check out. ... The road to the hotel is small and a bit dangerous to walk it is not easy walking distance to the town of Rada. It is not far at all but if you walk to town it could be very dangerous. ... Lovely small hotel in the middle of vineyards. Beautiful room, not to fancy but very comfortable, the owner was very nice. The resaurant was a real plus, after a long day on the road we loved to be able to have a very nice tuscan dinner in a lovely setting like the Podere restaurant. The only draw back was the breakfast was the worst I ever seen! A pice of bread in a plastic bag and very very bad coffee! Please let the hotel know from us, I did'nt know how to tell them but it is a real joke! I would recommend this hotel but this little detail is important. Thank you for your help. Great web site/

The staff at Le Vigne is really friendly. Even though we are staying at Pensione 'Pistolesi', she has offered to show us exactly where the Pensione is located at. The room is well kept but the heater didn't seem to function properly.
Overall, it was a rather enjoyable at Pensione 'Pistolesi'.

The hotel was lovely. The only negative comment I have about the hotel would be the breakfast. Of all the places I stayed in Europe, the breakfast at the Hotel Podere le Vigne was the poorest - very little selection and the quality of what was there wasn't great. ... see my above note ... located on a idyllic spot, next to vinyard

We arrived mid afternoon (as did other guests) to find the property reception was not open. We were unaware hat the reception closed for a couple of hours in the afternoon. ... Only problems with the rooms was the ability to hear guests in other rooms ie conversations, TVs etc ... Only that you cannot check in between certain hours. ... It would be better if more detailed direcion to the hotel (detailed map in the area) is available on the website. ... Though the management of the restaurant seemes to be different from the hotel, the restaurant was very good. As the hotel is a bit far from the center of Radda in Chianti, it should be more stressed that the very good restaurant is in the same place. ... I would do as a very comfortable hotel with the excellent restaurant.

The only objection that we had was the restaurant was open very late and after closing, the staff was quite noisy cleaning up. After finishing that, they proceeded to have their evening meal and cocktails, etc. I realize that they must have needed to wind down, but our room was directly over the outside restaurant where all this took place. Oh yes, after that they all reved up their cars and cycles and drove off into the night where I am sure they had a good night's sleep! I am aware that the restaurant and hotel are under separate ownership, but it would be nice if they respected the guest's well being. Neverthe less, we did enjoy the hotel after realizing it would not change. I think any room would have been the same because of the configuration of the hotel. ... The reason that we chose Hotel Podere le Vigne is because we had stayed in Radda last year and had dinner several times at the restaurant. We really looked forward to staying at the hotel and will return again. ... A wonderful small inn in the middle of a vinyard. A unique and enjoyable experience in an area of Chianti surrounded by lots of small charming villages, good restaurants and wineries. A great bargain!

Got very lost trying to find location and when I called hotel - no one spoke any English to help...clear up those directions and add miles next to each direction. ... There was a camera in our room...as if there was survalliance...this seemed werid and made us feel uncomfortable. Other then that and the heat we were very happy. ... More about the restuarante would be nice and possibly a photo of entrance entering the hotel since the hotel is off the road and could be hard to spot from road.
