We arrived around 11:00 at night and everyone at Castello di Velona went out of their way to provide transportation and a welcome. It made a very stressful situation much easier. ... The experience at Castello di Velona was amazing!!! The view, the staff, and the atmosphere were beyond all expectations. ... The surrounding area and the view from each direction is something that is hard to put into words--amazing. Also, the dining experience was wonderful. ... While staying at Castello di Velona, we were treated like a king and queen. Everything you could ask for and more. One of the most romantic places in Italy (and a great place to get engaged!).

We had to ask for a change of room because of noisy drilling outside. This was agreed with no problem, but the noisy room should not have been allocated when there were vacancies elsewhere. ... Wonderful location and a very nice hotel.

Like a dream ... My wife and I had a wonderful experience at the Castello di Velona. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms and facilities were elegant, beautiful and comfortable. The environment was quiet and relaxing. The only negative to report was the food at dinner was nothing special. A little disappointing for Tuscany.

The staff was extraordinary helpful in any way. My husband had problems with his laptop dialing into aol. One of the staff members literally spend hours with him to solve the problem.
The manager made arrangements for us with local wineries for wine tastings. At one, nobody spoke english or german, so she arranged for one of their waiter/sommelier to go with us and translate. ... The Restaurant: we had our most delicious meal there; very good recommendation of local specialties (food and wine) from the waiter. Very friendly service. ... A absolute must to try out!

I had emailed with Daria at Castello di Velona to confirm my reservations prior to arrival and she was incredibly helpful and lovely to deal with. ... I found my room and the grounds of the hotel spacious and lovely. The staff - particularly the hotel's manager - were very helpful in making reservations at local restaurants and appointments at nearby wineries that we were interested in visiting. ... The restaurant was much better than I had anticipated. The food, wine selection and saff were great -- our meals at the Castello were amongst the best we experienced during our stay in Italy. ... A lovely hotel, beautifully situated on a Tuscan hillside -- definitely a place I would recommend!

What a fabulous property. The room was impecable, the staff excellent, the food great. I didn't see the directions on line. That might have helped. We did find the place, though. I'd give it 5 stars. Marjorie Robbins ... Go there. It's worth the trip.

The facilties were excellent. We had been under the impression that there was a hydro pool but this turned out to be somewhat different to what we had anticipated. We also believed that there was a spa offering a arange of treatments, but this is opening later this year. This was absolutely fine and the other facilities compensated for this.
I think that you'd make a lot of business from organised wine-tasting, cookery courses and the spa. Perhaps another option to consider would be a pool-side food/drinks service and making more use of the terraces. ... Individually styled modern rooms, fantastic food, a great setting and wine buffs delight. Definitely will go back with a group of friends to soak up the atmosphere and party. We were on honeymoon and we'll never forget the Castello di Velona experience.

We had two rooms reserved and they had only one reservation on record. They were able to accomodate us with a two bedroom unit after the first night.
