Accommodations

Five elegant bedrooms have been created thanks to excellent restoration work. In every room in the tower there hangs, like a custodian angel, a reproduction of a Renaissance painter:

"GIOTTO": bedroom with a double bed on the ground floor and bathroom.

"MICHELANGELO": bedroom with a queen size bed on the first floor and bathroom.

"LEONARDO": on two floors: downstairs a bedroom with a queen size bed, fireplace, bathroom. Upstairs: a twin bedded room with bathroom.

"BOTTICELLI": bedroom with a queen size bed, bathroom and jacuzzi.

"CIMABUE": bedroom with a queen size bed and bathroom.

All the rooms have satellite TV, telephone, air-conditioning, shower, hairdryer, bathrobe, safe, connection to Internet.

The room dedicated to Giotto (The Giotto Room) is on the ground floor, on the right before the impressive arch. As well as being on the ground floor this room has all the facilities necessary for disabled persons to also enjoy a holiday here. At the end of the first floor of the tower is The Cimabue Room with its splendid bathroom, from which we have a view of The Pieve di San Donato, and, retracing our steps we come to The Botticelli Room with a jacuzzi, in homage to Venus, who was born out of the foam of the sea.

Can you see that arch of a singular shape? It is characteristic of that period in this area - a similar one can be found near the medieval S. Giorgio Alleroso hospital. During restoration, the discreet painter Stefania Puliti responsible for rendering homage to these great Tuscan artists in The Torre Vecchia, wished to paint a portrait of ourselves with our son. We did not know how to resist this small flirtation which, with a hint of irony, would put us alongside the people who commissioned immortal works from great artists of the time…and so upon a wall in this room hangs our portrait.

From here, we come to
The Michaelangelo Room: look out from its window and see the gentle forms of The Church of Cortine and the splendid landscape towards Olena. A few more steps and we come to The Leonardo Suite containing a beautiful large double bed surrounded by very thick sturdy walls and an attic room with two beds which boasts a complete view of the valleys which Cortine most likely reigned over more than two millennia ago.
