The first room we were shown did not have a bathtub (as I had requested of the Hotel directly via email), but, on my request, this was changed very easily and cooperatively. ... The dinner food and service on our second night (a Monday evening) was not as good as the first night (a Sunday evening). We felt that the 'B Team' was at work on Monday in the kitchen and at the table. We ordered one of our dishes on both nights (spaghetti and clams with ginger and garlic) and were extremely disappointed the second night. Overall, I would still rate the restaurant very good and pleasant. The man who seemed to be in charge of the food service on both Sunday and at lunch Tuesday was just lovely! ... We were sorry that we did not sign up for half-board given the remote location. That might have been the best value. ... Recommend half-board. Remarkable sense of privacy despite the number of rooms. The Cala Piccolo swimming area is much bigger and better than is suggested by the photos. Your Map software is excellent. It was especially useful to be able to look at several hotels in the same area by switching through the map window. The map sofware and multi-site approach led me to use Worldby.com to look for places in Rome, also. I also liked the fact that I was able to correspond directly by email to the hotel management. Every step in the process was facilitated by the connection through Worldby.com. ... Extremely comfortable and relaxing. Spectacular views. Solicitous service. Friendly and accommodating personnel. Dramatic and expansive feeling three dimensional site. We were sorry to leave. We look forward to returning.

In all honesty this is the first time I have ever taken the time to fill out a hotel questionare but, I had to let you know of the incrediable staff and property you have. If we had known before what we know now we would have spent the entire vacation at this place of paridise! It was our first trip to Italy and without a doubt we will be returning. ... Our utmost appreciation to Sergio for his insight to the surrounding area, the people, the culture and his gractious hospitality. He made us feel so welcome and comfortable and was even familiar with our own home town. We look forward to our next time. Regards, Mr. & Mrs. Michael Ramirez ... No words can do Hotel Torre Di Cala Piccola the justics it deserves. ... We have already to several people. And once the pictures get developed will describe your place to several more.

The signage to the hotel was a little difficult to follow but we were able to manage ... One word, INCREDIBLE! ... Very easy and efficient. ... Hotel Torre Di Cala Piccola may very well be one of the most beautiful places in the world.

At first we did not have a sea view room but when we mentioned this they changed our room immediately. We had a spectactular view. Although the town of P. Santo Stefano was about 10-15 by car this was a relaxing way to end our trip. Franco, the food and bev. manager was very helpful, as was the entire staff.
... Beautiful vistas. ... Very long walk downhill to the beach area. Excellent continental breakfast that also included eggs (as you liked). ... The place that you want to go after an exhausting week or two of travel.

This was my very first trip to Europe, and Italy in particular. The entire staff team was AWESOME and the combination of those staff members speaking English and those who did not, make my stay even more 'Italian' & exciting. Great Hotel! Great Team! Great Experience!
I will return undoubtedly... ... I am a cat lover and the stray cats at the hotel just made my stay even more enjoyable. I only wished I could have brought one or two back to the U.S. with me.
As a 'solo' guest, the other guests were always very nice to me and made me feel welcomed. ... Guido handled the checkout process PERFECTLY!! He is a credit to the Concierge team, as well as Stefania~ ... Yes, show a picture with some of the hotel cats taking a 'cat' nap. People who travel and have left their own pets at home will have a sense of family when they can be around other pets at the hotel. This was a nice little bonus for me.
One suggestion: a wider variety of food selection on dinner menu would be nice. ... AWESOME and a must for anyone visiting Southern Tuscany!
My sojourn to Orbetello was a life changing experience for me and I'm even considering relocating to Orbetello when I retire. Living my entire life in the stressed out and crime ridden USA, I now realize that there truly are little 'pockets of heaven' on earth and Orbetello was one of them!

we loved it very much and would recommend it to anyone we hope some day to return we met folks there who have returned more than once ... one of the most beautiful and exotic, we drove to the Il Pellicano a 5 star 2 Michillin star hotel restaurant for 3 times the cost and loved our hotel just as much

1.The bath rooms could have been better (were smaller and more cramped than expected) 2. The breakfast buffe could have had better service and filling up of food/beverages. May be a consequence of a fully booked hotel. ... A perfect and relaxing place to stay for a weekend with your beloved. Nice cliffs/ stone beach with clear water. Exclusive.

Bathroom was basic and not very luxurious ... The beach area is very small! We have never seen so many people crowded into such a small area of beach! Hence we stayed at the pool every day. ... Wonderful! Highlight was dining in the evening on the grass lawn overlooking the sea and watching the sun set!! Magical!

This was the first time I was brought to my room almost immediately, without any delay. ... A definate must for the discriminating traveler looking for peaceful extrordinary views and accomodating service. ... Staff was very helpful ... Of our 17 nights in Italy, our first 4 nights, 5 days at Hotel Torre di Cala Piccola were the most enjoyable, simply the best.

amazing but be prepared to eat at the restaurant at the hotel - the drive down to San Stefano and back [late at night] could be a challenge. the restaurant at the hotel is excellent value for money making the need to leave the hotel for dinner unnecessary.

Even smoking is forbidden in Italy. It would be nice to have the chance to buy some cigarretes at the bar. But all in all a wonderful hotel. ... - No cigarettes or cigarrs available at the hotel :-(
- Perfectly quite, I love this place
... - It's at least in May, a quite place to relax perfactly.

The web site gives the impression that the restaurant is quite basic. We found the quality of food and service to be excellent and as a result did not leave the hotel except for sight seeing. The beach service was also good. I regard the hotel as being almost as good as Il Pellicano, but at a much better value/price ratio. We were delighted with our short stay and wish we had scheduled a couple more days! ... See above comments re: restaurant, menu choice and service. We arrived at 1.30pm and had checked in and were sitting down to an excellent light lunch within 15 minutes. Try that at some other hotels!! ... Great location for a few days rest and relaxation. Beautiful views day and night.

It was very hard to find the entrance to the hotel as the sign isn't near the hotel. ... Our room wasn't that quiet as we were near the lobby. ... Details on finding the hotel.

The property eas good, location excellent however the atmosphere of the place was too quiet. The bathroom quality for the price paid was poor.
The staff I thought were very friendly and helpful ... Slightly over priced and mainly full of older guests.

The restaurant is poor and the menu limited. See below. ... The hotel was lovely and the staff very helpful. The restaurant however was poor and expensive. Given the location which is quite tucked away around lots of hairpin bends we would have ideally stayed and eaten at the hotel on more evenings but felt the need to drive into Santo Stefano.
The cost of the hotel generally was I thought quite high. The only facilities are the pool and beach - which is exactly as the web stated and are very nice (although very crowded). Comparing it to other good hotels I have stayed in recently e.g. the Witchery in Edinburgh (which is exceptional) the cost was too high.
Whilst at the current prices I wouldn't be returning to the hotel it was otherwise very nice and the web site description was accurate.

Lovely location and very remote. The restaurant needs an overhaul - it appears to be dirty and the food is mediocre. You have a captive audience and should upgrade your food service. Also, we tried to get food in the middle of the day and were informed it was shut.

The breakfast was not according to a 4 star hotel. The service was not very good, the choice after 9h 30 not very good and the buffet looked disorganized. The breakfast room is not very nice with dry flowers and some forgotten green plants, dirty wondows, the stairs muddly. The service in the kitchen was very noisy. ... Beautiful, but the interieur in the hall should be better with no dry flowers, and the receptionists are not alway very informed on what is about at the silver coast. They have not tourist info from the region of grosseto where there are many concerts and theaters. The price is woth the view, the garden and the rooms, but nor the breakfast and the persons at the desk.
