 Swimming Pool: In the hottest months of the year one can refresh oneself by swimming in the two charming swimming pools: one with a view over Monte Amiata, the other, less deep, surrounded by a wonderful series of cypresses. |
The Vineyards: The vineyards of Terre di Nano produce red wines Chianti Colli Senesi, Orcia and table wines with Sangiovese grapes. Grapes are processed in an ancient cellar that is equipped with modern wine making facilities, including an area for ageing wine in wooden barrels and a wine tasting room.
Barlettaia - Chianti Colli Senesi D.o.c.g. Resulting from a blend of Sangiovese and Canaiolo varieties with a small apportion of Malvasia and Trebbiano white grapes, in accordance with the tradition, this wine is aged in barriques for ten-twelve months and bottle-aged for approximately six months.
Quercialsale - Orcia Rosso D.o.c. This wine is made from a skilful blend of Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes, with a light touch of Colorino grapes. This mellow wine, with a velvety palate and smooth tannins is aged for eighteen months in barriques made of different types of wood, followed by approximately six months of bottle-aging.
Maclura - Rosso di Toscana I.g.t. Representing the winery's top of the line, this wine is produced using selected Sangiovese grosso grapes, with a balanced addition of Canaiolo. It is aged in French barriques for twelve months, alternated with periodic aging in Slavonian oak barriques and bottle-aged for one year. It is elegant and velvety, with a long finish and an intense bouquet of red fruits. |

Sports fans will take the opportunity to have a swim in the pools of Terre di Nano, to play tennis or golf in the facilities of the nearby centers, to explore rural Tuscany on a horse, or take horse-riding lessons. The surrounding unspoiled valleys are home to beautiful walks whether in summer or winter.
Trained people will be able to follow the scenic walking trails prepared by experts or discover the beautiful nature with a rented mountain bike. Others can explore the intact and endless countryside and tortuous roads by car, bus or eventually a scooter.
Eating out in Tuscany is a real delight. Apart from wine and olive oil the estate provides, we suggest you try the typical local dishes in the restaurants located nearby. Strolling through the little shops and the weekly markets of Montepulciano, Pienza, Siena and other villages full of stands offering a wide range of local delights, antiques etc, can be fascinating and charming. |
Tuscan ground is rich of sulfurous and thermal springs, famous since the time of the Romans. The various thermal centers located San Casciano dei Bagni, Montepulciano, Chianciano and Bagno Vignoni, offering relax and cure for all sorts of pathologies are within an easy reach (approx. 10-20' ride).
Tuscany's Val d'Orcia is the inspired setting for a distinguished music festivals, theatres and other cultural events. Performing arts move out of doors throughout the region in summer and have a very intimate sense of location, history and spectacle. To cite a few: there is the Teatro Povero of Monticchiello, the evenings of music and concerts in Castelluccio, the Palio of Siena, the Festa Medievale of Monteriggioni, the Bravo delle Botti at Montepulciano. |
