 Just a breath away from Siena, which at night offers itself up on the horizon as though served on a tray of a thousand stars, Corsignano was love at first sight. This land shows all the poetry of an ancient time tied up with its name to Piccolomini Pope and to his native town, Pienza whose previous name was Corsignano. Our hamlet, just 10 km. from Siena and 40 km. from Pienza, in the prestigious Chianti Classical Black Rooster area, was one of the final borders of the Papal Patronage, hence its name. |
 In the 1980s we bought it: 50 acres of land including nearly 20 acres of vineyards, 4 acres of olive groves and 4 homesteads scattered on the property. Firm in our purpose we faced many troubles. Only at the beginning of 1990s did I, Elena, and my husband Mario, started to devote ourselves completely to this enchanting land. Little by little, faithfully and calmly, we made this farm the purpose of our lives. |
 Arriving to Fattoria di Corsignano, on the gravel road through the cypress, olive orchard and rows of delicate roses, you are fascinated by the sea of vine up on the sweet hills and the fantastic view of the famous city of Siena. A huge century pine-tree makes the frame to an unforgettable panoramic scenery, and all around the fragrances of rosemary, sage and lavender come up to your nose to make you dream. |
 In this pleasant setting, our 4 lovely homesteads has been converted to 10 charming apartments recently restored preserving the pure Tuscan style of terracotta floors, wood beamed ceilings and stonewalls. We wished this estate intensely, and have filled it with thousands of family memories. Now we offer it to you so that you can enjoy it during your vacation, so that the vineyard, the olive orchard, the sweetly sloping hills, the silence, the rows of cypress, the quite_ are all Yours. |
 All of this is just a few kilometers from Siena, Florence, Perugia, Grosseto and the sea.
Countless day trips await you: San Gimignano, Montepulciano, Volterra, Pienza, Lake Trasimeno_
Then_ total relaxation on the poolside terrace looking off at burning sunsets. |
 A spin in a hot air balloon, a ride on mountain bikes or horseback, a game of "bocce" or cards may all be welcomed fun. Together we could enjoy a barbecue, watered generously with Chianti. Or, you could savor nearby restaurants, one of which is within walking distance. Not to mention that the products of the fattoria are here for your tasting: the Chianti, the oil, the preserves, the olives_
