Very kind people, very helpfull. Very very very nice place.
... In a few words 'Luxe, elegance, beauty, calm' We were very satisfied and enjoy very much our stay ... For us, 'La Suvera' is a must. It's the best hotel where we ever been.

Gracious reception upon arrival, and orientation tour to the property and services. Turnoffs from the main roads to La Suvera may have been had their signage changed recently, thus making it difficult to follow the written directions accurately. ... Our stay was made memorable by the efficiency and courtesy of the staff, as well as the beautiful grounds. ... La Suvera is an excellent venue for special occasions such as birthdays! ... Perhaps more information regarding the excellent cuisine served in the restaurant and bar area. ... Although I can describe La Suvera, and show photographs and slides, few people can truly understand the beauty and serenity of the venue unless they stay there. Having majored in art history and concentrated in Renaissance art and architecture, the opportunity to spend a night in a structure with such significant history was truly a memorable experience.

Could not fault it - excellent. ... The hotel, rooms, facilitiesand staff were all first class. ... The hotel description on the website is excellent but the reality exceeded my expectations. The quality of everything from the room to the food, staff and leisure facilities was second to none. ... If you want some quiet time in beautiful countryside, in the most luxurious and interesting surroundings, where the staff genuinely want to make your stay as comfortable as possible - La Suvera is the place.

1.There are too many cats in the property as result - the bad smell in the beautifull garden. 2. The chief in the restaurant is very inventive, but it wasn't always tasty. ... Interesting, romantic, beautiful, qiuet(except peacock's scream in the early morning). It's a good possibility to get in the past.

Very good but the property is isolated so there is no pretty little village wuth small trats to eat cheaply between swell nights out at the La Suvera.
Bar and pool staff excellent, restaurant and reception a little slow on the uptake. Being sent to bed at 12.30 because of neighbours a bit of a downer.
The setting and public areas are simply stunning. ... No English films etc on TV (But Gernan and French in abundance) ... Luxurious, but pity it is relatively isolated

As we had extended our stay, and there may have been a room change for the last two nights they upgraded us at no cost to a suite in the Papel villa which was very nice. ... A very tranquil location, service was excellent, the food in the restaurant was first class. Our room was very interesting and full of historical artifacts as I believe all rooms are. A great loaction for travelling in the 'Green Coast' very easy to get to Siena, Florence etc..

Because we had such difficulty finding the property (give more direction about getting out of Siena), we arrived after 6:00 pm and left before noon the next day. We had planned to be there by 4:00 pm and were disappointed to get there so late. ... fabulous! lovely grounds and gardens! beautiful room! love the olive oil toiletries ... I can't remember if a meal was to be included. I do think we had breakfast ... spa information ... absolutely

This hotel is fantastic. We will return there. ... I can't say enough about how magnificent Suvera is. The website doesn't do it justice. It is phenomenal. ... We didn't want to leave. ... The experience of a lifetime. I have been travelling to Italy for 30 years, and this is the penultimate experience.

Wonderful old villa set high in the Tuscan hills. Delightful staff. Quiet. Plenty of amenities: swimming pool, gym, sauna, room service. Would definitely consider returning. ... We left at 4:30 am in order to make our flight home. The staff were able to meet us with our car, check us out, and make sure we had directions. They even offered coffee but we declined. ... The restaurant is very good- not excellent, but very good. Attentive service.

We arrived by train in Sienna and I had reserved a Hertz car. It was difficult to find the Hertz building from the train station.
Although I had printed out directions from the web site, I found that I really needed a map to be confident that I was going the right way. A printable map would be a big help. Perhaps this could be made available on the web to people who have a confirmed reservation? ... This was my first trip to Italy and I would do many things differently next time. (In particular, I'd try to stay off the beaten tourist path.) All of our accomodation bookings were based on online reviews and most of the places we stayed were fine. However, Hotel Relais La Suvera was not just a hotel, it was a destination in and of itself. The castle is amazing, the food was excellent, and the grounds and swimming pool were gorgeous. I can't wait to return!

The directions were confusing, but that was mostly due to the fact that the roads are not marked very well. It might be a good idea to say that the markings are poor so people can be prepared. ... The property was great, and the room was very good. However, the walls were very thin, so it wasn't as private as you would like or expect for such a nice (and expensive) place. ... It is listed under the city of Siena when you are searching for places to stay, but it should be noted that it is some distance from Siena. There would really be no way to get there without a car. If someone took the train to Siena and expected to get a cab to the hotel, they would not be happy. ... Great place away in the Tuscan countryside. If you want to go someplace to enjoy a few relaxing days, and still be close enough to explore Tuscany, this place is perfect.

It's important to note no irons or ironing boards in the rooms nor will the hotel provide them. We were told to leave items on the bed and they would be sent out to the laundry. This is very inconvenient as everything needs a touch up after being in a suit case for so long and you don't have the time wo wait for things when leaving for a day of sight seeing. Fortunately I packed a travel iron but had to make shift an ironing board.

Eager to provide assistance and help in whatever way possible. ... Very regal atmosphere but also warm, relaxed and tranquil. Wonderful breakfast, restaurant and staff.
We stayed in a low priced room and did feel that it was far, far less grand and spacious than the rooms shown on the website. We felt there was a big difference between our room and the rooms shown on the website.

We had much nicer hotels in Austria and Germany and for the value they were better. However, I think that has more to do with Italy's change to the Euro and how they switched over. We found it outrageously expensive. ... Better directions. The rooms are also very old and the furnishings are old and often unkept. The website really oversells the place.
