 La Sorbigliana consists of two recently refurbished farmhouses. The main house was a guard tower in the Middle Ages and was converted into a farmhouse in 1600 when it was owned by the Benedictine Sisters. In the 1800's the second smaller house was built by the family whose descendents still manage the farm. |
 The two houses are surrounded by large gardens with grassy areas and lots of trees. The swimming pool is just a short stroll away from the properties from where there are fine views over the surrounding countryside.

 The friendly owners live mostly on the estate during the summer and are hoping to prepare typical tuscan meals for their guests one day per week. This will usally be on request and the owners intend to have a large room in the former stables which will be used for this purpose. |
 The area between Montespertoli and Castelfiorentino is one of rolling vineyard covered hills with olive groves and the typical cypress trees dotted across the landscape. There are good restaurants in the area and the magnificient city of Florence is within easy travelling distance either by road or by train from Castelfiornetino.
An unpaved road leads to this lovely farm estate which extends to a hundred acres of mostly vineyards and olives. The area is very picturesque - sunny hills - ideal for relaxing or touring to all the interesting towns of Tuscany. |
