You will prepare these dishes all by yourself, under the supervision of an expert, and then taste them with a glass of the wine that better matches: for example the savoury Morellino di Scansano red wine. The Tuscan and Maremma cookery course will continue, in the second day, in learning how to prepare the extraordinary country soups, flavoured with our precious local extra-virgin olive oil, a typical speciality of the Tuscan tradition. You will be taught how to prepare mixed mushroom soup, Mediterranean vegetables soup, chickpea or bean soup and the tasty Acqua Cotta soup (and the secrets of our Country Soup). Moreover, you will cook different types of sauces, to enhance the flavour of every pasta: wild boar sauce, spring vegetables sauce, and meat sauce. Last but not least, you will prepare, as a starter, the famous Tuscan crostini or toasted bread seasoned with oil, garlic, or tomatoes. On the last day of Tuscan cooking course in our farmhouse, you will learn how to prepare typical Maremma desserts, just like panna cotta with wild-berries, tozzetti to be eaten with Vin Santo, a typical dessert wine, and many other sweet delights, whose secret will be revealed step by step on the spot. Information: The course includes 3 lessons: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9.30am to 12.30pm. At the end of each lesson, you can taste the dishes you prepared. |
