 The antique farmhouse "Podere Scannelli" is inside the Park of the "Val d'Orcia", within the area of the "crete senesi", set on the the top of the hill and surrounded by century-old cypresses. In this century-old unspoiled landscape, tradition and culture merge together, creating this unique enchanting scenery. |
 The house was already standing in the 1700's and has the characteristic "U" shape and the typical features of residences that were both farms and monasteries at once. The farmhouse was completely restored according to the antique Tuscan style and maintains the original vaulted ceilings, renovated findings (vases, fireplace, oak doors) and wide and delightful rooms with beamed ceilings and cotto floors. |
 Podere Scannelli offers a scenic swimming pool where guests can enjoy a total relaxation and a courtyard, with a well and an ancient oven, where accordingly to this nice atmosphere of past days there are typical hand made "terracotta" pots from Pienza, garden tables and chairs, perfect to enjoy a nice glass of wine. |
 At the farmhouse it is possible to taste wine and a "light lunch" or typical Tuscan dinners, which are organized by the farmhouse. The position of "Podere Scannelli" is particularly interesting, because it is not far away from all the places of high cultural interest as well as in Tuscany as in Umbria. |
