By Car:
You can arrive at Poggibonsi. In Poggibonsi follow signs for San Gimignano. On reaching San Gimignano bear round the city walls and follow signs for Certaldo, Castelfalfi. After, abaut 1 Km ,on the left you will see indications for Montaione, Gambassi and Castelfalfi-take this road. After abaut 6,6 Kms yuo will reach a Stop sign. Bear left in direction of Volterra (kms 15). The road is called " Strada provinciale del Cornocchio nr 53". Drive for 3,7 Km on the road until you see on the left the sign Sassi Bianchi and a gate open.
By Car From Florence:
From A1 highway take exit Firenze Certosa and then proceed in direction to Siena on the free motorway Firenze-Siena. Exit at Poggibonsi and in Poggibonsi follow signs for San Gimignano. On reaching San Gimignano bear round the city walls and follow signs for Certaldo-Gambassi. After about 1 km you will see on the left indications for Montaione-Gambassi, take this road. After about 6.5 km you will reach a "Stop" sign. Bear left in direction of Volterra (15 km). The road is called "Strada provinciale del Cornocchio nr 53". Drive for about 4 km on the road until you will see on the left the sign "Sassi Bianchi" and an open gate. |
