 Rustico Sara & Cottage Giusy, situated on top of a hill, at about 700 meters above sea level, lie in Garfagnana, a north-western region of Tuscany, in the province of Lucca. The Garfagnana lies between the Apuane Alpes and the Tuscan-Emilian Appenine Mountains and is traversed by the River Serchio. |
 It is a typical rustic villa, built in the characteristic style of the northern Tuscan mountains. The villa has been restored, mainteining in parts traces of the past, with exposed stone walls, wooden floors and magnificent mantelpieces fashioned from age old wood taken from the surrounding forests. |
 The interior of the villa has been carefully furnished with antique furniture. There is an entrance hall, a living room and a kitchen with a fireplace. The wood-fired oven can be used to cook pizza, cakes and biscuits, imparting the particular flavour that is characteristic of Tuscan baking. |
