Rustico Sara holiday house has a fireplace, microwave oven, two refrigerators, a dishwasher, two washing machines, a television with a satellite dish and a compact stereo. The kitchen is equipped an electric five ring cooker with an extractor fan.

 The Rustico has outdoor parking and is surrounded by a large garden with fruit trees which give ample shady areas. In the garden, which is perched on the side of the hill making you feel as though you are really on top of the world, there is a hammock, deck chairs, sun beds, two mountain bikes (gratis) and two tables and chairs. |
The floor of the house is in typical terracotta or wooden. All the ceilings are original and made in wood. From the mountain's terraces one can admire a view which stretches from the valley to the mountains on the horizon - a panorama that is truly breathtaking. Swimming pool from 2006. |

 Only a few kilometres away it is possible to visit Monte Forato and Pania Della Croce, one of the highest and most majestic of peaks in the Apuane. You can go mountain climbing and take walks along the paths and marked routes. If hiking and mountain-biking is not enough for you we can also help you arrange hang-gliding or a round of golf. Sightseeing trips to the nearby Orecchiella Park, and excursions to the Grotte del Vento (Wind Grottos), world famous route where you can enjoy stunning views and unforgettable walks. The Eremo di Calomini (The Calomini Hermitage), Castelvecchio Pascoli, the medieval historical centre of Barga, and the centre of Castelnuovo Garfagnana can also be visited. At a further distance, the city of Lucca (40 km), Pisa (60 km) and Florence (90 km) where their beautiful art and architecture are a wonder to visit.

In the surrounding area you can find several family run restarants such as:
- Il Volpino, located 1.5 km away from the rustico. they offer to our clients a forfait menu for 15 € (drinks not included). It' open Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
- Il Totto, located 4.5 km away from the rustico. Forfait menu 15 € drinks included.
- There are also some other restaurants in the area, as well as some pizzerias.
Garfagnana: there is a long and spacious valley, surrounded by mountains whose slopes lead to a river plenty of fish.
The river is named the Serchio and it passes through Lucca and Pisa before reaching the Tirreno sea.
The valley is the green Garfagnana, covered with beech and chestnut trees and plenty of mediaeval villages, with its stone houses and its high bell towers.
The white mountains, the Alpi Apuane, from where you can get the precious marble.
Some interesting places to visit near Rustio Sara:

- The statue museum at Coreglia;
- The world famous "grotte del Vento" (wind caves) at Fornovalasco;
- The Eremo of Calomini
- The Verrucole Fortification
- The Isola Santa and the Vagli lake, with its sank village.
Parks: in the high Garfagnana we find the Orecchiella Natural resources, a vast area where you can actually see the animals living freen in their natural environment.
Other places to visit in the area are the naturalistic museum and the natural reserves of the Alpi Apuane and Botri.
The mountains: Rustico Sara is surrounded by paths where you can make short, medium or long walks. Umberto, the owner, will happily prepare for you the most convenient itinerary.
You can visit places such as:
Pania della Croce, Monte Forato, Monte Palodina, Monte Tambura, Tre potenze, Giovo or Monte Pisanino.
The seaside and the beach: within one hour by car you can reach the famous Versilia and visit placet such as Forte dei Marmi or Viareggio and its wonderful beaches.
Art cities: Rustico Sara is ideally located if you are interested in visiting some art cities during your stay.
10 minutes away you can find Barga, a medieval city.
35 minutes away we can visit Lucca with its ancient fortifications.
50 minutes away we have Pisa and its world famous Piazza dei Miracoli.
1 hour and half away we find Florence where you can visit the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio and the Dome.
Also the world famous 5 Terre are located within 1 hour by car. |
