The room was not ready when we arrived at 2pm - yet it was not made clear that check-in time was later than this.

The apartment that we had booked was fairly basic in comparison to the pictures shown on the website i.e. the kitchen was smaller and very basic. The bathroom was very, very small.
The hotel at times was very noisy - especially with the guests staying as part of the horse trekking group - late in the evening and early in the morning.

The 'type B' apartments are located on the first floor and the larger 'type C' apartments are located on the ground floor. This information would be useful to families with small children.
A new pizzeria is opening in the complex.
A car is a must for this holiday.

The Residence is ideal as a location for a small family. The pools and facilities are excellent for children. Within an hour's drive you can be on the beaches of the Maremma, or exploring hilltop Medieval towns. The many local trails make this an excellent location for those of a more active inclination. Lounging by the pool is also a popular pursuit.
The accomodation is basic but functional and the staff are friendly and helpful.
