Directions were very good except you have to be patient. Italian drivers own the road and will let you know it every chance then can get. My suggestions is that when you can pull (only 2-lanes on the mountain rds.)over to the side to let them pass then do so. After all, it is their country

My wife and I just returned from Tuscany and had a memorable stay at Villa Sant'Uberto. The room was spotless and beds were made on a daily basis. The bathroom was large and clean. For those who love their showers (me), you won't find better than this. We had a wonderful balcony view of the Tuscan hills...simply breathtaking. It is close to the towns of Castellina, Radda and Greve all of whom have wonderful restaurants and history. The owners are wonderful people who bend over backwards to make your stay a memorable experience. We are from New York and naturally, tend to be very demanding. So believe me when I say, if you want piece and quiet and a chance to stretch your arms out without hitting a wall or someone else then...this is the place! We would absolutely visit again.

The owners could not have been more helpful. They recommended restaurants that we could go to in the evening. Explicit directions on how to get to various towns and even some suggestions of their own on the many vineyards in the area. A very pleasant experience. Bravo!

We loved it, and the location was so ideal. right in the heart of the Chianti Region, perfect for day trips.

We stayed at a beautiful, secluded Country Inn with breathtaking views of the Tuscan hillside and sunsets. The people that owned the Inn where so accomodating and put out a lovely Italian breakfast everyday. The decorating was very tasteful and our suite was perfect. We were in the perfect location for day trips to Pisa, Siena and Firenze. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to our friends.

When staying @ this location, renting a car (best if in advance) is a must. We waited until we arrived in Siena to rent a car, however, it was Sunday when we arrived & the car rental agencies were closed and therefore, we had to take a taxi which costed about 45 Euros. Once we rented a car the following day, everything was perfect.

The villa was beautiful in every way & very private, the owners were wonderful & the location was breathtaking. We had such a relaxing time, felt very at home & hated to leave. We wished we could have been there during the summer to enjoy the pool, the views & the decks. The villa was in a remote location, wonderful for hiding away & relaxing. Radda & Castellina were only a few minutes away & Restorante La Cantonie (just down the road) was fabulous. I would absolutely recommend this B&B to a friend.

Directions could be much more detailed. For example, at the exit from the A1 autostrada at Valdarno there were no signs indicating the N408 road, which the directions indicated we should take. We made a number of wrong turns before finding the correct way. Once we found the correct initial road, we had no trouble with the rest of the journey.

It is situated in a lovely isolated location that is, nevertheless, near a number of fine Tuscan sites. Of special significance is a very good convenient restaurant (Ristorante La Cantoniera), which is about three minutes from the inn. The chef is very innovative, the garden dining delightful, and the prices moderate.

The owner was very helpful and wanted to make our stay as pleasent as possible. He also agreed to provide breakfast even though we were in a self catering apartment, which was very pleasent for us.

We were a little surprised that an apartment which slept 4 didn't have a bath, but only a shower. My wife much prefers baths and may have had second thoughts if she knew this.

On our arrival, the voucher had stated that we were a party of 2 adults and one child.
There was no extra bed set up for our 3 year old child.
If we had to set it up, there would have been a extra charge added to our bill.

A luxurious B&B have way between 2 very addorible towns. Lots of room to wander around and explore. Let the pool warm up with the sun or you just may want to lay around in the sun. Good food set out for breakfast on the balcony, enjoyed the non-rushed mornings...nothing for children in the close vicinity(playground-swings-slides)
Overall, glad we stayed there.

A beautiful villa in its own grounds, the room was spacious with a lovely view. Car parking on site was secure and the Villa was approximately 10 minutes drive away from the charming Castellina in Chianti. Restaurant recommendations from the reception were excellent. I would recommend friends and family this accommodation.

No one to welcome us as they do not know when we will be arriving and also big nice gates into property are always locked and you need to ring bell to annouonce your arrival. Receptionist was at her desk and welcoming. We were given a self-catering type apartment instead of the standard double room we ordered.

The only thing not on the website was the spectacular views from the backyard of the villa. The Villa itself was very nice, nicely painted, wonderful breakfast,great towel warmer, hot shower with lots of pressure and the best bed we slept in while in Tuscany! We hope to go back sometime and enjoy the swimming pool in the summer!
Our only regreat was only being able to spend one night there - it was not enough!!!

Our host, Giovanni, was very welcoming and helpful, and the atmosphere of the inn was romantic and quiet, while being very conveniently situated for excursions in Chianti. The value received for the price was exceptional. The only additional thing I could have asked for was a few hard-boiled eggs on the breakfast buffet!

I would describe it as the distillation of the Tuscan experience--the gorgeous views from the terraces, and the quality furnishings, and feeling of a well-loved family home made me imagine that I were living in Chianti, if only for a few days.

It is in a beautiful location with stunnibg views of the area. The two towns nearby are both very nice and representative of the region. The restaurants nearby are very good and reasonable. The location is central to the Tuscany and Chianti region with many wineries nearby.

The only negative about Villa Sant'Uberto was that we were on the first floor and the sounds from the room upstairs over us were very loud as far as the plumbing. Every time someone flushed a commode it sounded as if it would run down on us. The same for the shower. Other than that, our room was wonderful and so was the large bathroom. We enjoyed our visit very much!

A wonderful experience with the true feeling of an Italian Villa, very convenient for visiting the Hill Towns of Tuscany. Alberto was very helpful with getting us a train schedule to Florence since we did not want to drive there even though we had a car. It had the conveniences of a hotel but the perfect atmosphere of a Villa type B&B which is exactly what we wanted.

We were tired due to our over nite travel from the USA and traveling from the Rome airport, and the villa and our hosts were so warm and gracious. Restaurants in the village do not begin serving until 8PM or perhaps 7:45 PM at the earliest. So if we often stopped for a picnic dinner and at Uberto we sat outdoors and watched the sun set. We prefered this to driving back in the darkness on the curvey roads

On the directions, I think they need to make it clear the 2.5 K begins AFTER you turn onto the road to Radda. We almost missed the inn (but did find it).

Transport - the site indicates there is a bus but it's not really clear.
The only way is to catch a bus from the Sienna trainstation, in the direction of Radda. This needs to be expalined as there are in fact 2 Castellinas in Chianti.

No air conditioning. Rooms are very hot in the summer however the pool makes it easier to enjoy the stay in spite of the heat in the rooms. Very close to Radda and Castellina in Chianti - convenient for grocery shopping or for dining.

A charming bed and breakfast in a quiet area in wine country. Very lovingly restored and immaculate house. Host and hostess are very pleasant. We would definitely return to this inn.

There was one issue -
The bathroom of the next room must have been on the other side of a very thin wall behind our bed head: at night, we could clearly hear the toilet from the neighbouring room being used and then flushed. [The villa was full so we could not change rooms.]
A minor point: for people used to eating breakfast cereal, it would be better to have chilled milk available rather than a jug of milk at room temperature.

An iron could not be provided as a special request (we were going to a wedding and needed to iron our clothes). We were told that an iron was only available for those in self-catering accommodation, not for Bed & Breakfst guests.

Very pleasant accommodation with traditional Tuscan furnishings; comfortable bed; bathroom small but adequate; good breakfast and eating area; wonderful view; very quiet and peaceful location; swimming pool was very cold.

The only comment is that the entrance was gaited and there were no directions or phone to enable contact with the Inn. After only a couple of moments, the gate was opened from inside and we entered.

I think that information on the surrounding towns including restaurants and attractions would be helpful.

I would describe the Inn as a very nice place to stay and would highly recommend it.

Our stay at Villa Sant’Uberto in Radda was perfect.We enjoyed every day there. The villa is situated in a wonderfull area of Chianti, the apartement was comfortable and very clean, and the host was able,to forfill all our wishes. We can recommend this Country Inn as a quiet an beautiful place an we wouldl visit it again.

Coming from florence we went thru Radda in Chianti which took far too long whereas we should have gone towards Castellina in Chianti.

Excellent and pleasant. Magnificient view. The only negative comment , I would have, is that the Country Inn is a little bit too isolated.

The shower went cold briefly every now and then. A constant draining noise emanated from the bathroom.

The amount paid was high for anyone outside of the EU. The exchange rate against the dollar was brutal.
