The welcome was exceptionally warm and we immediately felt at home. ... We had a wonderful time and would recommend it to our friends to stay there. ... Santo Stefano is a working family farm that is located in the Chianti hills close enough to Florence to allow an easy visit but far enough away to ensure a peaceful country holiday. The nearby town of Greve is charming and offers a variety of 'tourist' opportunities. Santo Stefano is ideally located to undertake visits to a variety of wine farms. Everyone knows the family and congratualted us on our choice of accommodation.

Upon arrival, the proprietor Elena met us with two bottles of wine and led us to our apartment. She toured us around the property and asked if we had questions. Once in our room, we looked out the window to take in the stunning views and pure peacefulness of being in Tuscany. ... Fattoria Santo Stefano was an oasis to us, having just spent a week travelling all around Italy. Beautiful and peaceful, Santo Stefano is the perfect place to go and just unwind. The proprietor sister-brother combo of Elena and Agostino are truly remarkable people with hearts of gold. They made our stay memorable and made us feel very welcome. ... Elena was very professional and courteous. She saw us off with customery kisses and hugs and we reluctantly left. We wished we could have stayed forever. ... Do not miss the weekly dinner that is prepared by Elena and others (usually on Tuesday). The cost is 30 Euro each, but that includes several courses of some of the best Tuscan cuisine around and all the accompanying wines. In addition, we found it to be the best way to meet other guests on a social level, some of which we hope will remain lifelong friends. ... It is the best place to go if you want to either relax and take in amazing views of the Tuscan hills, or visit other Tuscan towns like Siena, Ovieto, and others. It's very centrally located.

A beautiful villa overlooking vineyards and the gorgeous tuscan hills. Our hosts were very pleasant and informative and helped greatly in planning our excursions of the region and Florence. The farm's wines and olive oil were great too and it was very thoughtful and generous of them to have some bottles in the room for us to try on our arrival. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen well equipped for our needs. ... A quaint villa situated in the tuscan hills admist vineyards and olive trees on a quiet road. Spacious, clean rooms with well equipped kitchens. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable hosts. Centrally located close to some of the best tuscan villages and Florence too with a town for groceries, restaurants and other ammenities 5 minutes down the road. The wine they make here was great too!

We were welcomed like family... ... Agostino and Helena were most pleasant and welcomed us with open arms into there family fattoria.
Out of our 5 weeks European holiday, our stay at Santo Stefano within the Tuscany region is one of the highlights of our trip. We would whithout a doubt like to return to this Fattoria one day and enjoy further the peacefullness, tranquility and friendliness of this region. ... Outstanding and would recommend to any one of our friends but would prefer coming along with them....

We had a fantastic stay at Fattoria Santo Stefano and would one day love to visit again. It is a great base for exploring the region including Florence and Siena.
A fantastic property.

We had a wonderful experience - the scenery is spectacular, the accommodations very comfortable. Location is ideal for day trips to both big cities and charming little towns along winding roads. Agostino and Chiara were gracious, helpful, friendly hosts. They put on an incredible 'traditional' Tuscan dinner for all the guests (23 people) one night that was a highlight of our vacation!

Perhaps should be mentioned that the road to the fattoria is about 3 km and not paved. ... A place up on a hill with a beautiful view, nice and quiet, where you can relax. A central point for trips to the wellknown tuscany cities.

this ... was an excellent accomodation - the only criticism i would have is that we rarely saw elena (eg we wanted to use the laundry facilities and ended up going to town, the place was perfect for us, and i would stay there again and recommend to others ... we needed to leave by 0800 and there was no one there to give the key to - i ended up giving to one of the fellows staying with the parents ... you should emphasize the location - ie greve we had two 'down' days where we simply wandered around greve and had great shopping and lunches ... well worth staying in

Very good. ... Some things were not very clear, example cleaning of towels and bedlinnens. These were not changed during our two week stay. ... No problems there. ... If you don't have your own transport. Public transport is at quite a distance. Downhill not much of a problem but comming back. ... Friendly, quiet and for nature lovers.
