By Car:
- From Rome take highway A1 for about 140 Km and exit in " Valdichiana "
Immediately take the freeway " Bettolle-Siena " for 55 Km and exit "Siena Sud", then follow all signs for Porta Romana, it takes about 2h 45min .
- From Grosseto take SS 223, exit Siena Sud, follow all signs for Porta Romana, it takes about 1h.
- From Florence - A1 Exit Firenze Certosa, immediately enter motorway Firenze-Siena, exit Siena Sud, follow the signs for Porta Romana, about 1h.
By Train:
Average travel time: Firenze Santa Maria Novella 1h 55min (change line in Empoli), Pisa Centrale 2h15min (change line in Empoli), Roma Termini 3h20min (change line in Chiusi). To reach us from Siena railway station: take Bus no. 17 to Piazza del Sale and then from Piazza del Sale take Bus no. 2,
to Via Piccolomini (Hotel Santa Caterina). Taxi service is available just outside the station, next to the Bar-Stazione.
By Bus:
Average travel time : Firenze 1h 15minutes, Roma 2h 55 min. To reach us from the terminal bus station ( Piazza Gramsci ): from Piazza Gramsci walk to Piazza del Sale where you get the bus n. 2 to Via Piccolomini. From Piazza Gramsci walk approx. 200 metres to Piazza Matteotti where you can get a taxi. |
