San Donato is in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, only few km from the centre of San Gimignano. In the area you can relax and spend some pleasant moments: you can visit vineyards and you can taste the local cuisine in the restaurants and pizzerie near the property. Shops, bank and chemists are available in the centre of San Gimignano, if you need. The farmhouse is situated in San Donato. |

By Car: Coming from the south, from Rome, take the highway A1 and exit at Valdichiana. Then take the SS71. When you reach Siena, follow the signs to Firenze and exit at Poggibonsi nord. Then follow the signs to San Gimignano. When you enter in the town, at the first roundabout, follow the signs to San Donato/Volterra for about 4.5 km and then turn left to San Donato, where there is our farmhouse. Coming from Bologna, highway A1, take the exit to Firenze Certosa. Take the motorway to Firenze-Siena and exit at Poggibonsi Nord (pay attention to the exit San Donato: it is not ours!). Then as above.
By Plane: Coming from Pisa airport, you can rent a car. Follow the signs to Navacchio, cross these signs and follow the main street FI-PI-LI. Cross the sign Pontedera/Ponsacco and follow to Pontedera Ovest-Ponsacco. Cross the sign to Firenze/Livorno/Pisa and then turn left to Sp23 to Ponsacco. Follow the Ss439 and after about 7 km turn left. Follow Sp26, turn right and follow for about 70 m. Turn right and follow to Sp26 for about 1.3 km. Follow the Sp11 for about 15 km and follow Via Castefalfi. After about 250 meters, turn right and follow the Sp26. Follow Via San Vivaldo for 1 km until Montaione. Follow the Sp65/Strada Provinciale dell'Ecce Home for about 5 km. Turn right and follow the Sp4 for 726m, follow the Sp62 for about 2,3 km. Turn left and follow the Sp63 for about 650 meters, turn left and follow the Sp69 for 6 km. Turn left to San Gimignano and when you reach the town, at the roundabout, follow the signs to San Donato. Then as above. |
