By car from Milan-Rome: take A1 Highway in direction Florence; at "Firenze Scandicci" take the freeway FI-PI-LI (Firenze-Pisa-Livorno) towards Pisa/Livorno and exit at "San Miniato".
By car from Pisa: take the freeway FI-PI-LI towards Florence and exit at "San Miniato".
By car from San Miniato: Drive right in direction "Pontedera" and after the sign "Catena" turn left and drive uphill until you reach San Miniato Alto at the top. From San Miniato Alto and follow the signs to "Montaione", you'll pass the towns of Moriolo, Genovini and Corrazzano. 4 km after Corrazzano you'll reach a bridge, pass the bridge and immediately at the end turn right onto the unsealed road which will bring you directly to Borgo San Benedetto /Casa Masi.
If you prefer a scenic road from Florence among the tuscan hills: Florence -> Montespertoli -> Castelfiorentino -> Montaione. From Montaione follow the signs to "San Miniato". Drive down into the valley, 2 km after the sign "Mura" you'll find a bridge, turn left before it: the unsealed road will bring you to Borgo San Benedetto /Casa Masi (same property, please ask at our Casa Masi to announce your arrival to the reception at Borgo San Benedetto).
By train from Florence: Line Firenze - Empoli - Siena, stop at Castelfiorentino. From Castelfiorentino bus to Montaione.
By train from Pisa: Line Pisa - Firenze, stop at Empoli. Then line Empoli - Siena, stop at Castelfiorentino. From Castelfiorentino bus to Montaione. |
