absolutely on of the best places we stayed on our recent trip. The jr suite we rented was tastfully decorated,quiet,clean, and spacious. the family that runs the inn could'nt have been more gracious. We would definitely recommend this inn to other travelers.

We were given a map of the vicinity and our questions were answered promptly and courteously.

I was surprised at the wonderful location, ease of access to the town, the beautifully furnished room and spotless bathroom. The scrumptious breakfast - we needed two tables to hold it all! The swimming pool, the lemon trees, I could go on and on----

I went with my daughter but I think it would be a perfect honeymoon stop as the name implies. I think that I have sung its praises to everyone I have spoken to!

We arrived at the accommodation early. We were able to leave our bags and on returning later these had been transferred to our room.

We had a fantastic holiday at Villa Romantica. The Villa is lovely and all the staff very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was ever too much trouble and someone was always on hand to offer help and advice.

As we had an earlish flight home we were able do settle the bill the evening before.

WE won't hesitate to recommend it to our friends.
We were presently surprised that a flea market goes on at the Stadium surrondings on Wednesday & Sat. It was an eye-opener as to home-made goodies as well as other things.

The flea market is one thing you should add on. Also be more specific as to the actual location of the site. We arrived on a wet & dark night & there was no wall to see & to guide us. Yi was God's unseen hand who drove us there.

Never have a second thought in recommending them to stay.There is adequate parking spaces.The pool was inviting although we have no time toswim in it.It's a pity. But we were more than compensated by the wonderful sights & scenery in & around Lucca.
A pity the staff at the rental car is not too communicatve as to how to reach Lucca from Pisa airport.Welcome signs of arrival at Lucca is too small.

The staff were extremely helpful and courteous; they assisted us with sight-seeing details and places to eat - Lucca itself was lovely - we thoroughly enjoyed our walk around the city walls - the managr of the hotel had given us a map to help us to plan our sight-seeing venture. There was a wonderful choice for breakfast - our stay couldn't have been more perfect.

Can't think of any. We took the breakfast only one morning as it seemed expensive at 11 eurs per person. However, it was a very copious breakfast and for those who like a hearty breakfast, definitely worth the money.

I would describe it as a very pleasant place, efficiently run with a welcoming atmosphere. It is very clean and the owner obviously takes pride in running it well.

We would recommend the hotel, but also would mention that the surroundings are not that pretty due to the fact that the hotel is next to a football stadium which was not clearly indicated in the information we got upfront !

A very pleasant B&B in an ok location but outside the walls so best suited to people touring area with a car. Although we were all made very welcome buy the family who own and run it, our room was quite dark, and it was probably not the most ideal b&b for those with young children (e.g. no bath in our ensuite and we were upstairs so the buggy could not go into room etc.). More importantly, the cot rental added substantially to the cost of the room making it relatively expensive for one week. As the Villa Romantica was remote from bars and restaurants it was a shame that there was no bar, although it was nice to sit in the small lobby and read the books on the shelf over a bottle of wine. The best thing about the stay was the lovely coffee and good breakfast but we also really liked the calm and relaxed air about the Villa and, of course, the Favilla family themselves.

Pick the four poster room. It has a seperate lounge with an additional TV and very comfy sofa. It,s worth the little extra for so much spacw.

Villa Romantica is a lovely place. It is in a good location for exploring Lucca and the surrounding area. It is clean, cosy, comfortable, welcoming and friendly. Mr Favilla and his family are lovely. We were especially impressed with the beautifully presented breakfast.

I think it is important to arrange for Taxi in advance from Pisa to Lucca --a few cab drivers would not take us because they stated it was too far.

The facility was better than expected because of the environment the owners created. It was charming, spacious and lovely. Calm spirit. The breakfast was great as the inn keepers always had treats and surprises for us. In addition, they always helped plan our days.

Staying at Villa Romantica was such a treat.
I was celebrating my 40th Birthday in Italy and eventhough I was quite ill. Daniella and her family made me feel right at home. As a television executive I wanted rest and relaxation and that is exactly what I got.
Swimming in the afternoon was an extra bonus in their family style pool.
Lucca and Villa Romantica are an absolute must -- VR is walking distance to the center of Lucca and a few minutes drive to the vineyards.

Our trip to Lucca was wonderful. We stayed in a large room on the second floor with a great bathroom. The breakfast was great (meats, cheese, fruit, cereal, cappiccino). The owners/inkeepers were especially polite and helpful with directions. We had the availability of bikes to ride and used the pool frequently.

Although the hotel is correctly described as within a 2 minute walk to the medieval center, the hotel is actually just outside of the city walls and not within the walls.

This is a very nice family-owned hotel with a lovely, cozy sitting room and breakfast room. The accomadations were comfortable and very charming. The furnishings are more like a Paris hotel than a typical Italian hotel.

Villa Romantica, was a lovely Bed & Breakfast. We were given a warm welcome. Our restaurant was booked on our behalf and we were given clear directions on how to get around the local area. Excellent!!

Villa Romantica was easy to find using the direction printed from the internet. There was always safe and adequate parking on the hotel property.

Great for couples. It is private and quiet. From the walled city, it is a nice walk but not that close, so if it would be very hot, cold, or wet you might consider driving. With this in mind I would maybe consider another place if you have young children, eventhough there was a young family there during our stay and our accomodations lended itself for a family. Bicycle rentals were limited from the property, but could be rented within the walled city. Bike rentals go quickly so you need to get them early. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would return.

A family run villa. Staff were so helpful giving us advice on places to visit, making phone calls on our behalf etc etc
The room was kept beautifully clean and the little finishing touches like chocolates left each day and a farewell present were appreciated.
