Although it was 9pm when we arrived, we were greeted warmly and shown around our accomodation, and given complimentary wine and oil.

We were overwhelmed by the personal touches at podere la ripa. It was easy to feel relaxed and 'at home' straight away.

Lovely walks around the estate. 3 very friendly english setters. An extremely warm welcome from the owners.

We have told all our friends and family that Podere la Ripa has been the best place we have stayed at on our numerous visits to Tuscany. It was beatiful, clean and friendly, with all the facilities we needed.

Our only complaint was finding the property. Apparently there are 2 towns with the same name 'Ulignano' in Italy. We were searching the wrong town for over 2 hours!
The Ulignano we were looking for is not shown on the Michelin map. The owners should state this fact.

Everything about our stay was wonderful! The property was even nicer than the pictures, we were very pleased and would love to return.

This property was very affordable at $125 per night. It was worth even more. It was decorated beautifully and very private and relaxing atmosphere. It was an extremely good value for the money.

After five(5) visits to Tuscany, Podere La Ripa stands out as the best accommodation we have experienced to date. Alessandro and Margherita are very obliging and hospitable hosts. The accommodation is very well equipped and the decor is extremely tasteful.

Alex and Marge and their son were great. VERY accomodating and made sure they walked through the entire place to show us everything we needed to know.

A great view of San Gimignamo from the bedroom window!!!
The B & B just below this location had some VERY rude guests who sat outside on our final night and stayed up talking til almost 3 in the morning. I asked them at 1:30 to be quiet and after shutting the windows I could still hear them. When I asked them again at 2:30, they swore at me and were very rude

It is on top of one of the rolling hills in Tuscany with a great view surrounding you in all directions. There is a large pool that and you basically have the place to yourselves. It is EXTREMELY relaxing

Everything was wonderful except for the beds. The pillows were so thin that you may as well have not used one and the mattresses were rock hard and covered with a water-proof cover. This rubberized cover made a terible sound each time you moved at night and didn't allow any air circulation, so sleeping was very uncomfortable. We found that 7 nights of sleeping like this was almost unbearable. Change this factor and the rest of the place is impeccable!

We stayed in Il Ghia and loved staying here, the views of San Gimignano from our room were beautiful.
The apartment had everything we wanted, the kitchen was extremely well stocked with equipment.
The owners were very welcoming and joined us for a welcome bottle of 'prosecco' on our first night.
Our only negative comment (apart from the bad weather this week!) was that our side of the garden was not maintained! the hedge and grass were both overgrown - a very minor point though.
I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone.

The owners of podere la ripa show us a very friendly and polite face. We left the place with best memories and we said best words to all our friends..
