The common areas of the house: the sitting rooms and the terraces offer our guests comfortable areas for socializing, for card and other table games, but also secluded places for reading, for a quiet conversation or just for dwelling. Nestled around the main Villa is a relaxing garden with two swimming pools and comfortable sun beds to enjoy the Tuscan Sun. Both children and parents will enjoy swimming in the two pools in the hot summer months.
 
Ricavo is worth visiting for its Cuisine too. Indeed how could one stay in Tuscany without tasting its gastronomic delights? Independent of its wonderful setting with views of the villa's garden, or in good weather, sitting al fresco in the square under large umbrellas, the mouth watering selections will delight you.
 
Serving typical Tuscan Cuisine, in conjunction with lighter Nouvelle Cuisine interpretations of traditional dishes will give diners many options. Not to mention the thoughtfully selected wine cellar's choices. La Pecora Nera is a non smoking environment, prior booking recommended.

The Chianti stretches from Florence to Siena and totals more than 170'000 acres of which 25'000 are dedicated to the cultivation of wine of certified and guaranteed origin, the Chianti Classico.

In Castellina in Chianti you will find several bars and restaurants, souvenir and clothes shops, ceramic shops, a shop for odds and ends, a pharmacy, a post office, three banks and ATM machines, several wine shops, a florist, a kiosk, a Coop market, the Saturday Morning Market and a Roman Catholic Church with services on Sunday morning.
