 Il Poggiolo has a history of its own: as a matter of fact, it has been offering accommodation to guests since the 1700: in the beggining, it was a staging post, built around year 1700, where merchants and pilgrims used to change horses on their way to Rome. Afterwards, in 1720, it became a holsterly and resting place for travellers; in the 20th century, it worked as the private house of several families of local farmers. |
 Finally, alter a complete renovation that preserved some of the original features of the house, it became a lodging at the end of 2003. From the windows of the apartments that make up this accommodation you will obtain a splendid view on the surrounding countryside, including hills, Montalcino and San Quirico D'Orcia. Each unit is equipped with kitchen, and in a common area you will find laundry and ironing facilities, therefore you will be able to lead your own independent holiday. |
 You should bear in mind that the residence is closed between January 15th and February 15th. In case you may not want to prepare every meal, breakfast is offered by the Residenza for an extra charge. The property includes a swimming pool, surrounded by the garden and the sunbeds and umbrellas, and a stable for horse riding, run by an equestrian guide. |
