We were late in arriving because of traffic, and the villa had everything completely set up for us when we got there.

We were thrilled. Usually, when you see something on a website or in a brochure, it's an exagerrated version of reality. This villa was even more lovely that I had imagined, and the property was even more beautiful than the web pictures suggested. The housekeeping and grounds staff kept our apartment -- and the surroundings -- impecabbly clean. Our experience at Relais Villa L'Olmo exceeded our expectations in every way.

Include the fact that it's a pleasant five-minute walk to a wonderful town -- not just a little village, which is the impression I had had from the website. In addition to the restaurant connected with Relais, there is a wonderful trattoria where we had one of the best meals we had in Italy.

I have already told friends it's one of the loveliest places I've ever stayed. It's got all the features of a private apartment as well as all of the amenities of a first-class resort. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and eager to help us plan our sightseeing trips around the areas. We couldn't have been more satisfied.

A wonderful property. The accommodations exceeded our expectations. Great value for the price! We stayed in one of the private villas. The villa was spacious and the private pool area was huge and beautifully landscaped. The staff was impeccable in cleaning our villa (both inside and out) every day.

THe view of vineyards and olive orchards is fabulous, but was not described on the site. The town of Impruneta is utterly charming. Wonderful restaurants and entertainment in the square.

We arrived earlier than the check-in time indicated in the terms & conditions. The Relais Villa L'Olmo sent a taxi to pick us up and bring us to the villa. The room was not ready when we arrived, but they made us comfortable and brought us coffee while we waited the short time for the room to be prepared. The wait was not a problem - the views were so good!

Again, we had a great stay. Even though all staff members were a joy to interact with, I would like to commend Ana Paula Paneroni and Claudia Jerger for their personal attentiveness and excellent service.

Our visit was perfect and the staff was extremely accomodating and helpful.

The only problem that we had was when we rented the available bikes from Rellais Villa L'Olmo. They were completely substandard and not maintained at all. Two of the bikes had mechanical problems. We actually thought we would need a taxi back. We were still charged the bike rental fee upon checkout nonetheless. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

I have had a few dubious experiences from accommodation booked over the net, so was a little concerned. However, Relais Villa L'Olmo was absolutely as described and more! It was great.

Although transport (other than a car) in and out of Florence is well provided for, in order to make the most of staying there, I would recommend people have their own transport.

Our arrival experience was exceptional. Claudia was very welcoming and helpful and everything was ready and waiting. The directions online are fairly clear but could be more explicit for first time visitors like us. I got more detailed directions from Relais Villa L'Olmo which made it much easier to drive to it.

We were delighted with both Denise (who greeted us) and Paula. Both were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Denise lent us a stroller of her own, which really helped us. You could not have better staff!

We really appreciated it. One feature that we had not noticed in the description was the daily cleaning service and frequent change of linen -- this is better than in most places, and really improved the quality of our life. We were also grateful for the many little things that were provided. The pool is excellent, and the shed in which we barbecued was surprisingly cool and comfortable even on hot days. Altogether, a very good experience.

Even though we arrived earlier than expected we found Eleanor to be very friendly and helpful with always a smile on her face. We found the property to be well maintained and clean and all that we expected and more for a family of four to experience Tuscany.

Far enough from Florence to get the true Tuscan experience, but close enough that we could easily do a day trip. It was beautifully presented and a great retreat with or without children. We loved the fact that local food was easily obtained and that we could prepare simple meals with a glass of wine while we enjoyed the sunset and felt this all added to our experience

Directions on your website take your customer to Tavernucci and then provide driving directions inside Imprunetta, without directing the guest to travel the 5K to get to Imprunetta. Thereby having us look for turns that did not exist anywhere near the Tavernucci location.

The directions were a bit confusing and we ended up at a local persons home. The confusion was that the directions stated to turn right on a dirt road 4 meters after the Impruneta sign, but there were two signs (one that stated the direction to Impruneta and then about 7 km the other, which was the city line of Impruneta.)
As for the arrival, we arrived after the stated hours since we got lost and the main office was closed. Someone did come down and let us in and were very kind and helpful.

we had a wonderful stay...even extended it 2 more days than planned..and accomodations were worked out to do so. The bus service from Florence to Impruneta was so good...and lets you off just a very short walk to the villa. You can even buy tickets at reception for the bus. The town was also charming.

How to find the bus and which one to take to the villa when you arrive in Florence via train would have been very helpful. We spent a lot of time trying to figure it out.

We got in to Florence late after a full day of travel. We were tired. The directions on how to catch the bus were not clear. We took a fifty dollar taxi ride instead and the driver couldn't understand the directions so he needed to call the L'Olmo office. The keys and welcome info. were on the doormat so everything was fine once we got there.

The facilites were excellent. The kitchenette was functional and clean. Bathroom was in good shape although the shower stall leaked. The bed and linens were very comfortable.

Impruneto was a lovely little town with about 6 -7 really good restaurants that were reasonably priced and very good. After a busy day in Florence it was a huge pleasure to come back to Impruneto for a good, quiet meal away from all the other tourists. The people in town were great.

We arrived at 11p.m. therefore no one was there in person but well detailed instructions and the key were left for us. The only thing that could have been more clear/emphasized is that the bus service doesn't run after 8 p.m. We waited for over an hour at the bus stop before we called and found.

Thursday and Friday Serena was most helpful. She was there to help us with a blow dryer, using laundry facilities, tours, etc. She even took us on an olive oil tour. She was always patient and plesant. But on Sat. and Sun. a young man was running the reception that did not speak English and therefore we had difficulty communicating with him. I am not sure how many English speaking clients you have but it may be beneficial to have more bilingual staff.

We stayed in a beautiful and spacious villa with an awe inspiring view of the Tuscany hillsides. They were making extra virgin olive oil on the property and Serena graciously gave us a tour of their process, in action. Serena was very helpful and informative. We definately would recommend it to our friends and plan on going back ourselves.

There was not any information on how to use the dishwasher, how to use the satellite TV or what American Stations there were, nothing telling us how to use the phone to reach the front desk. The Receceptionist had NO IDEA how to connect from our room to the internet. NONE. Carried a laptop from US not to be able to use. How to Turn on the air conditioner??? NO instructions. The flies in our room were horriffic. Nothing in there to help kill them. Couldn't sleep without getting 10-30 bites a night. My husbanc hated it and will never come back. I can see why on Travel Advisor not to many people had something positive to say. Oh yes telling us you had a washer and dryer to use would of helped us not wash our things in the sink and drying the clothes out by the pool.

the only dissapointment that we had was that we planned to use the autobus from Impruneta into & returning from Florence each day and only after arriving did we find out that the bus service ends at 20:30. Therefore we could never stay in Florence for the evening.
I imagine most clients were not affected as they had automobiles, but we wished it had been stated in the Villa website that bus service to town was limited.

This is the part that most impressed us. The property was very true to the description on the web. The views, the condition of the rooms, the countryside all superb. It is difficult to capture the grandeur of the panaramic view in a picture, it was indeed splendid. We were so pleased with our stay. I have reccommended your web site and Villa Olmo to friends and would love to return. The jasmine and lavender were aromatic and lovely. Paola in the office was delightful, so friendly, enthusiastic and very eager to assist us. The village of Impruneta was a nice surprise very quaint and warm.

Fabulous little bed and breakfast villa that overlooks olive groves and the Tuscany valley. It is a working farm that still produces its own line of wine, including Diadema, and presses its own olive oil. Very charming place with lots of appeal and close to Florence (15 mins) and all the surrounding villages.

We loved the place. The views were wonderful. The small town nearby, Impruenta, had everything we needed for our week long stay. In fact, we went into Florence one day to sightsee and we could not wait to get back to our villa because it was so peaceful.

Wonderful views, friendly helpful staff, close enough to town to walk to the small city park, and accomodations that exceeded our expectations. It was just like being at home away from home. After six days we hated to leave as we felt we were becoming a part of the local community. We much preferred our stay here in this quiet beautiful location to the time we spent in Rome and Florence.

A large group of us checked in together and Elenora had the whole process very well organised, with everyone's key and information pack ready and she escorted each group to their accomodation.All registration forms etc... were filled in later at our leisure, so there was no waiting about.

Wonderful villa overlooking the hills of Tuscany. Short drive to Florence ( 15 minutes) and under 1 hour drive to many major attractions (towns) of the Chianti and tuscany. Several VERY GOOD restauraunts within a 5 minute drive.
Very nice accomadations, great for families with kids of all ages. Nicest place we stayed at during our two week trip!

What you see is what you get--the Relais and its rooms were exactly as they appeared on the website. And considering how beautiful the villa looks on the web site, that was a tremendous relief.

The town of Impruneta isn't very big, but it has a number of very good restaurants. We ate in town every night rather than in Florence, and didn't feel like we were settling for second best by any means. I would caution, however, that the restaurant on the villa's property (don't remember the name) had good food but such haphazard service that even an Italian couple dining near us found it appalling.

My husband and I stayed at Relais L'Olmo with another couple and we all commented on how suited Paula was to her job, and as we moved around Italy, wished that all hosts were as good as she was. The villas were very comfortable, and the breakfast food and service were very good. I have already sent the website to my family in Australia as they are all keen to visit Tuscany in the future.

The only comments I would make is the intial confusion we had between what the email said our booking included, and what was offered in the special offer - ie , the offer mentioned the free dinners, and the original email didn't mention they were included.

The only reason the road instructions were confusing is the second paragraph says '400 mt after the Imprunetta sign', but as there are several Imprunetta signs, it may be helpful to mention that after the left turn at the car mechanist in Tavarnuzze, it is so many km to the next little town (I forget its name) then another x kms on to Imprunetta.

Obviously the photos were taken when the pool was full and there was a lot of colour, which is not how we saw it, but we realised our stay was not in the prime season anyway and did not expect it to be as it was in the photos.

If you want to stay at a comfortable, clean villa, close to Florence but be in the country, this is the place to go. Very easy to access.

The cottage and facilities were unbelievable! The entire villa was such a remarkably beautiful place. The local restaurant 'I Cavalicci' was phenominal.
The only glitch was that the website listed 'limousine' services as part of the offering, but that was not in fact the case. This did cause us to alter our transportation efforts. The villa's travel arrangements for one-day tours through the Chianti region were ridiculously expensive, so we ended up having to rent a car.

Stunning views from the villa; more about the olive oil they produce. The cottage we were in was very close to the main road, which was pretty loud with automobiles late into the night. It was a bit difficult to sleep.

The villa is ideally situated to visit Florence as well as many of the charming Tuscan towns. We felt very much at home during our week-long stay. The property is not a 'luxury' property, but if you are looking for spacious, clean, and comfortable accommodations in the countryside just outside of Florence, Relais Villa L'Olmo is an excellent choice.

The office manager was extremely helpful to us even though we checked in just before the office closed and had many requests to help get us settled-in. Our requested groceries were already in our room, which was a wonderful service.

We wished we could have spent a month there instead of only a few days. The view was so beautiful and peaceful that it was difficult to leave the property to go out to sight see. The private villas are definitely worth the splurge.

A rental car in Impruneta would be advised - there is only one cab driver in Impruneta and he charges 35 Euro/hour. If one wants a variety of restaurants in Impruneta, you need a rental car.

In relation to point 2, note that we arrived very late (long after the office closed) but there was clear instructions left for me so it was easy to find the villa and the key.

My friends and I were most impressed and all agreed it was that as nice as the website, if not better, which is very rare. Eleanora and Valentina were lovely and the recommendation to undertake Christina's cooking course was one of the highlights of our trip.

A beautiful old villa set in the peaceful surroundings of the tuscan hills, vineyards, olive trees and fruit trees. It is lovely and quiet and close enough to Florence to visit heaps of other towns in the surrounding Tuscan regions. I would recommend that you hire a car.

It is very close (less than a 5 minute walk) to the express bus service in to Florence. They sell tickets for the bus at the Relais. This was much more convenient than driving the car in to Florence and very low cost (much less than parking in Florence). You can walk to several restaurants in Impruneta.

Villa L'Olmo is on a hill overlooking olive groves and vineyards - a typical Tuscan view. Just looking our from our villa was relaxing. It was everything that we were hoping for for our week in Tuscany.

Excellent! The place and the scenery was very beautifull. The installation quite nicely arranged. The people at the reception were polite and competent. We even asked them for a reservation at 'Gli Uffizi' just before our departure and they managed to reserve for us and pass on the reservation by SMS. A plus mention also for the breaksfast arrangements and for the Restaurant 'Cavalacci'. We are looking forward to staying longer.

The reception desk was closed as from 7:00 pm (as mentionned by the Relais). We arrived at 08:30 pm : a letter was prepared for us with all the indications to find our appartment + asking us to chek-in the morning after.
Very nice welcome letter + information inside the appartment to find a restaurant.

As I arrived very late at night there was no one at the villa (entirely understandable)....but the driver called someone who was very helpful. Also, as I requested an airport pick up directions were unnecessary.

The room was very comfortable, but to be perfectly honest, it was not cleaned properly (i.e. we found broken glass under the sofa).

Paola was an absolute dream and she really enhanced our stay....she helped with everything from shopping info. to car rental. She is a trmendous asset.
Also, Denise was such a help as well and took such good care of our little boy. She was incredibly accommodating as well.

Situated in a beautiful landscape with a beautiful view. Very well situated with a short walk to a fairly big village. The location is also great for day-trips. Close to the highway to Sienna or Pisa and with just a 30 minutes bustrip to Florence. Beautifully furnished apartements and decorated with attention to details. apartments. A very nice pool-area. Great for familys as well as couples.

The cottage was really OK. The only thing that could be approved is the shower in the bathroom. It was small and the water did not go away very quickly.
Everything in the rest of the cottage is OK and the shower is our only comment.

The setting is very peaceful and relaxing. We loved to come back in the evening after a day's outing. It was so pleasant to sit on the steps to our room (or the chairs that were provided in the yard) with a cup of tea and look over the olive grove that lay in front of us. It is a wonderful and very well run place. The staff are most accommodating, helpful and friendly.
