We plan to return since we liked it so much. It rained the 2 days that we were there, so we couldn't enjoy the pool and its gorgeous setting. Nevertheless, it is an exquisite place with beautiful views in all directions. The service is beyond what we could have ever expected, and the price for the quality very reasonable. Dinners are excellent too. One of the best places that we have ever stayed--and we travel a lot! ... See above. Tucked away in Tuscany in a refinely restored classic villa, you will feel as though you are dreaming. The setting is indescribeably beautiful. We were in a junior suite, which was well worth the money. The room that we had originally booked didn't have much of a view from the one small window. The angles of the ceiling for me, being 6'2', felt too confining, so we upgraded, and this made it work out great.

It was great. He was very helpful, and even dragged our heavy bags up stairs and showed us the room. ... The web site should highlight the wonderful dinners and gourmet regional cuisine that guests enjoy on the terrace every evening. ... It's a very relaxing and friendly place with beautiful views. Perfect home base to explore the region and then enjoy a world-class dinner in a unique setting.

We felt very comfortabel. ... The garden was nicer then we expected ... a lovely place to spend a quiet stay. Good traditional meals and a dream of a vine card. If you stay longer then a week the menue card could be a little short.

Relais San Pietro is a gem! It is in a beautiful location which is quiet and peaceful with wonderful views. It is run by a family and you feel as if you have been invited into their home. The restoration of the old buildings has been exquisitely done, and the furnishings and decor are perfect. The Breakfast Buffet is lovely and the dinners are excellent. Everything is prepared as it is ordered with very fresh ingredients and many homemade things. The olive oil comes from their own estate olive groves, and it is heavenly! We had not planned to eat there every night but ended up doing so for 5 of the 6 nights of our stay.
Being at the Relais San Pietro was definitely the highlight of our 2 weeks in Italy.

Very welcoming and helpful. ... In my opinion, this is one of the very best properties that I have ever stayed in. This was our second visit and we will return again. Signor Protti's attention to detail and supreme graciousness provides an environment that is welcoming, consistent and ranks among my very favorite places to stay. It never disappoints.
... Worth going out of your way to stay at. Use as a base. Meticulously kept property, the best breakfast in the world!! Peaceful, quiet environment that is good for the soul.

Breakfasts were wonderful - full breakfast with fruit, eggs, meats, cheeses, etc. This was a pleasant surprise. ... Small luxurious quiet hideaway. With no TV, radio etc, it really enables you to relax and get away from it all.

This is a first rate, beautifully run and maintained hotel. We had a lot of trouble with the directions....perhaps it needs saying that after that left toward Polvano and ..... you must take a right turn that follows toward Polvano and that it is a considerable distance before you ever see the signs for Relais San Pietro. We turned around too soon fearing that we had gone the wrong way. The hotel owner greeted us warmly and saw to every detail with friendliness and efficiency along with his staff. ... Every possible attention is given to the detail, cleanliness, service, and the breakfast was the best feast we had during our entire stay in Italy. The dining room is charming, the food was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. ... I believe we were confirmed in a double with one double bed and one single. We had a room with two small beds, but it was beautiful and met our needs perfectly. We were also charged a bit less for the room than quoted, so we have no complaint in that regard. ... It is remote. I would imagine that going there to stay for a few days and use as a 'resort' almost would be ideal. Being summer, warmer and using the pool, etc. would also change things. It is a wonderful match for the week end of the Antique Fair in Arezzo which we attended, as it's not a very long trip at all. This is a stellar property, but I suspect that part of the reason for that is the ownership and the fact that he is 100% involved in almost every aspect of your stay there. ... Charming, meticulously maintained, beautiful setting, very accommodating staff and owner. The food is first rate...a little piece of calm in the chaos of the world.

We felt that the menu was unimagintive, staying there 6 days the menu did not change at all, we felt being a small hotel it would change daily if only by one meal ie a daily special, but apart from that the hotel and service was execellent. Tony Giblett.

Cet hotel n'a pas beaucoup d'ame, ilest très neutre et très conventionnel: il convient parfaitement pour la clientèle anglaise! ... je ne leur conseillerais pas cet hotel....

Need to emphasise that there are no arrangements for lunch and nowhere near to buy it without driving. ... Beautiful but relatively isolated location with restricted menu options.
