Situated on the top of a hill, between Chianti and Valdichiana, the Hotel Relais La Solaia overlooks the Valley of Monte San Savino, a romantic medieval town situated between Arezzo and Siena, ideally located for shorts trips to some of the most famous art cities of central Italy, such as Cortona, Montepulciano, Florence and Perugia, all within an hour's drive away. |
 The interiors of the Hotel Relais La Solaia propose in the architecture and design typical elements of the ancient countryside of Tuscany_ stone walls, brick floor, wooden girdles, old sideboards, wrought-iron bed, hand painted lamp shades, portraying countryside scenes. All come together to create an ambience where discovering the simple, authentic country style. |
 The origins of La Solaia go up to the middle age, and immediately its position reveals the oddness of a village climbed on the top of a panoramic hill, always sunny by the west and the east. During the Second World War the village was quite entirely destroyed from German retaliation. |
The present owners in rebuilding La Solaia have brought back to life a place with detach vocations for environment, landscape, history and architecture, where comfort matches tradition to offer a personalised service in a relaxed ambience. |
