Relais delle Picchiaie is located in the municipality of Portoferraio, Elba's main town. The Relais is set in acres of gardens and wood, overlooking the Gulf of Portoferraio and the Volterraio Castle. For its position in the middle of Elba, so you can reach most of the best equipped and wonderful beaches of the island in few minutes (Le Ghiaie, La Biodola, Lido di Capoliveri and Lacona: at this last said beach our guests have a special agreement). However, our guests prefer to rest in the quiet and wellness of the beautiful park of the Relais and abandon themselves in the palm trees shadow or at the swimming pool border, forgetting about stress and hard life. |

By Car (go to Piombino):
-From Autostrada Nord A12 (motorway) to Rosignano; proceed on S.G.C., towards Roma and follow up road signs to Piombino.
-From Autostrada Sud Roma-Civitavecchia (motorway); proceed on S.G.C., towards Livorno and follow up road signs to Piombino.
-From Piombino: ferries to Portoferraio (60 min. journey) or to Rio Marina.
-From Portoferraio 6 Km towards Porto Azzurro. Reach Relais delle Picchiaie for checking in.
By Plane:
-From various Italian and European cities you can reach the airport of Marina di Campo (Isola d'Elba), about 15 km away from Le Picchiaie, going toward Portoferraio. Reach Relais delle Picchiaie for checking in;
-Fly to the International Pisa Airport, then continue by train up to Piombino Marittima Railway station or alternatively rent a car and drive to Piombino (A12 motorway). |
