Nearby Facilities

Villa Reggello & Villa San Giovanni are conveniently located near important villages such as Pienza and Montepulciano (10 minutes drive) offering a vast choice of quality restaurants, wine bars, shops, open markets, health centres (including some remarkable spas), and tennis court.

Pienza
One of the most celebrated Tuscan towns.
It was in this town that Renaissance town-planning concepts were first put into practice after Pope Pius II decided, in 1459, to transform his birthplace. He chose the architect Bernardo Rossellino, who applied the principles of his mentor, Leon Battista Alberti. This new vision of urban space was realized in the superb square known as Piazza Pio II and the buildings around it: the Piccolomini Palace, the Borgia Palace and the cathedral with its pure Renaissance exterior and an interior in the late Gothic style of south German churches.

Montepulciano
Often called "the Renaissance pearl" is built on the top of a 605 metre high hill surrounded by a quintessentially Tuscan countryside. The town is encircled by walls and fortifications designed by Antonio da Sangallo the Elder in 1511 for Cosimo de' Medici.
Inside the walls the streets are crammed with Renaissance-style palaces and churches mostly located in a long, winding street called the Corso that climbs up into the main square, that crowns the summit of the hill. Montepulciano is not only world wide known for its excellent wines but, with all amenities, offers today a choice of restaurants, exquisite cafés and shops along with its celebrated wine bars and cellars.

Because of their location,
Reggello and San Giovanni are the ideal starting points for exploring the many medieval towns of the Val d' Orcia and Valdichiana as well as major towns such as Siena, Arezzo, Perugia and Florence. A stay in Reggello offers an excellent opportunity to combine countryside breathtaking landscapes, the Renaissance and medieval culture and a unique gastronomic experience.
