We were extremely pleased with the accomodation and its situation. It was idealy placed for visits to lots of different towns and villages and surrounded by beautiful views and countryside. We would not hesitate to recomend it to others thinking to visit Tuscany.
The family were very friendly and willing to answer questions on suitable places to see or visit.

As stated above. It was a perfect location for a first visit to Tuscany and also for return visits.

Lovely location, wonderful views, a very homely and comfortable apartment. The owners do not speak English fluently, but they are very friendly and helpful and they provided us with good tourist leaflets and tourist information.

When we arrived Mauro was right there and
began showing us around right way. Everyone
at Podere Pretoia was kind, open and
welcoming.

The apartment was very nice and Podere
Pretoia was especially generous with wine,
fresh tomatoes, basil, eggs and fruit. The
apartment was clean, spacious - very
comfortable. It exceeded my expetations and
I realy enjoyed being able to take walks
through the vineyards.

YES, the are well organized. Someone was
always around to help, answer a question,
etc. The price was excellent - I would love
to return.

This is a very special family run farm. The
roosters and chickens are part of the
family. Out one of the bedroom windows you
see Certaldo and out the other side of the
apartment you see San Gimigniano. Podere
Pretoia is a great place to stay if you are
planning day trips throughout Tuscany - the
location is ideal. The family is very open
and I wish I had stayed even longer!

The countryside is gorgeous. There are no nearby restaurants at night, except for a pizzeria, but it is a very good pizzeria! The accomodations are wonderful and the family who run it are very nice. It is in the middle of beautiful Tuscan countryside, between several larger towns and they are all close - Siena (The Pallio), San Gimignano (with its 10 towers) and Certaldo ( with its artisans in the old city -Boccacio died there!). And it is close to Pisa and Florence.

Traditional Tuscan farmhouse in beautiful country - not in town, so don't expect to walk to a meal, but it is gorgeous countryside. If you like to cook - the kitchen is marvelous with fresh eggs and oil provided. If you want a resort look elsewhere. If you want a beautiful view from every window and a warm welcome in the REAL Tuscany, this is for you.

The aparatment was well furnished and equipped. Mauro and his sister were very helpful and friendly. Showed us the vegetables and other products growing there. Wine makeing. Able to travel by car and train to other areas to tour. Personal Warmth of the area was was evident. Able to use laundry facilites too. Received wine/oil

Warm, sunny and friendly home in wine making and vegetable/fruit growing area. Bikes and puppet stage available for family. Pleasantly furnished that gave the feeling of Tuscany Great for hiking and touring the area..

Our arrival was a very warm welcome by the owner with a bottle of wine, olive oil and a cake made for us! That was well above our expectations!

The owner and his wife were very helpful, even though we did not speak any italian. They both did everything possible to help. The owners olive oil and wine were also amazing and we were very pleased when we could buy some to take back home!

To say 'value for money', is an understatement. The property is truly magnificent and well above our expectations. I am definite we will return and recommend others to do the same. I think the pricing of the property is very cheap by comparison with out propertys. We look forward to staying again.

Rather than a typical tourist hotel or apartment without any feeling, Podere Pretoria felt like we were living in Italy as locals. The property is beyond amazing, with spectacular views, perfect location and very friendly hosts! On top of all of this, the price is cheaper than most 3star hotels! I would recommend anybody stay and could guarantee you would not be disappointed!

It is a working farm so sometimes the host is busy with his farming responsibilities. This was not a problem at all. Rooms located at top of one long flight of stairs, no elevator.

Spacious, clean, well provisioned with cookwear, dishes, etc., spectacular view, well located between 2 towns (Certaldo & San Gimignano), quiet (except for the rooster), pleasant and accommodating host.

The people were helpful and really welcoming. We were even able to arrange a babysitted one night. The complementary wine, oil and grappa were great. The place was good value for the price...we wish we could have stayed longer.

We were made to feel most welcome in a delightful farm house. We were only sorry that we were unable to stay longer to enjoy the hospitality and region. It would be great to have another couple to share it with us. We would certainly, recommend to others our accomodation. We did get lost trying to find the place- it may have been our fault- not finding signs etc.

Delightful taste of Tuscan hospitality. Great location close to San Gimignano, beautifully presented with everything necessary for a 1 night or a weeks stay.
