We came from not A1 but the other high way (from Pisa), then we couldn't find the 'Firenze Sud Exit'.
I suggest you have the direction from Pisa posted as well. SS222 can be hard to find especially when you arrive at night!! ... La Presura was a cute, lovely villa with a swimming pool that has a view to the beautiful Tuscani hills. The room also fits the image of how life in Tuscani should be like: quite, warm, very family-like.
If there could be air conditioning in the room it will be just perfect. Anyways it is still the best stay I had in Italy among the 6 cities I visited. ... The fact that there's no air conditioning. ... Best place to experience Tuscani, very suitable for families, the restaurant near by (SS222 towards Siena, same side of road) was the best we had in Italy. If you have time you should swim at the pool, the view was fantastic.
The perfect place to stay for Firenze & Tuscani--as long as you have a car.

we went there by bus, so it took us a while to locate the main entrance. The instructions of going there by bus was not very clear on the site, but we did get more info from the hotel directly which made it clearer. ... The web mentioned they have Bbq facilites provided but I could find it. No restaurant around is a problem as we didn't drive. We bought some food from the open market at Greve for our dinner. ... The wine testing was very interesting althought the host only spoke italian. May not have much to do if you stay there without a car to drive around Chianti. ... highly recommeded if they want a short stay in a farm house which is not far from Frenze.

Very nice property, very scenic, beautiful views, great location. Also very quiet and peaceful. Room was very large, clean and nice. Only bad thing was we could not keep windows open in the evening for the nice breezer because of the mosquitos. Would stay here longer next time, only needed for one night this time. ... the property is much closer to the Greve in Chianti in reality. ... I would direct to Tuscany.net because it was exaclty as described to help understand the property. I would highly recommend to a friend.
Loved the ability to confirm booking instantly. Tuscany. net very helpful faciliating discussions when some places would not respond quickly to inquiries

Greeted us when we arrived with a glass of wine and were very friendly towards us. ... Grounds were very well maintained. A very good restaurant only one and a half kilometers away. Hotel staff recommended it and we were very pleased! All in all, a very good place to stop for the night in the Chianti Valley. ... Enjoyed the property very much. Beautiful location. Quite at night. Room was great. Everything went very well for us there. We recommend it to all of our friends.

We enjoyed the stay very much and attempted to extend our time, but the unit was not available. ... First, I want to comment that our unit was absolutely charming and that we enjoyed it very much. We actually tried to extend our stay longer but the unit was not available. The renovation of the villa was done very well, and our unit was clean and colorful. We stayed in the Colombaia unit which had a second floor entrance up the stairs from the courtyard and we were delighted to find that it was really a two story unit with bedrooms on the second and third floor levels (with a full bath on each level). The stairs inside the unit were steep and spirally, giving it an authentic old world feeling but would have been a challenge for someone old. At 5’10”, I did hit my head on a rustic rafter at the top of the stairs. Our two daughters, who stayed upstairs, thought it was ‘cool’. The furniture was an assortment of odds and ends which added to the charm, but the couch on the lower level was more cute than comfortable. The showers were fit into odd shaped bathrooms and were again more charming than functional. Having a soap dish attached to the wall would have been helpful. It is important to understand eating options before you arrive. Note that breakfast is provided only for the first morning and consists of ‘packaged’ fruit or chocolate filled croissants and ‘packaged’ milk with the ability to make tea or coffee in the unit. You are expected to shop for the other meals. A ‘group’ dinner for guests is provided once per week on Wednesday evening for an additional €25 per person. It is served in the courtyard. We were not there for the meal so I cannot comment on it.

... We would have like to experience dinner offered by La Presura, but we learned they don't really do that until the Summer. Ah well. All other facilities and services seemed available. ... La Presura cost us about the same or even less than some of the stays at hotels in Venice, Florence, and Rome, and the experience was much better in general. Extremely good value for anyone wanting a romantic getaway, a family vacation, wine tour, etc. Oh and the Chianti and Olive Oil produced at La Presura are quite good. I wish it were available in the states.

We did have difficulty finding the property as the road signs were slightly misleading as we got nearby in terms of distance. Also the property was on a sharp corner of a busy road. Just better signage needed right by the property I think. ... Although we liked the place very much we were surprised that it was right by a busy road. It did not feel like a farm on a large acreage. We asked to move rooms as ours was the nearest to the road. The staff were very accomodating. We assumed the road in the photos was a minor access road! The rooms were fitted out well with good quality wood furniture. Unfortunately there was a lot of building work going on by the pool. This also made access to the walks difficult. It did spoil the holiday a litttle. ... Staff very helpful. ... An ideal base for exploring Tuscany , the Chianti wine area or nipping into Florence for the day. But equally good for relaxing by the lovely pool and discovering the nearby local shops and restaurants. A friendly place with good views and clean, good quality rooms nicely presented. Good for a romantic break?

There was no access to the lake. ... I would say it was a beautiful setting, but the accommodation was in need of renovating and there needed to be a veranda or balcony added.
