The road leading to the Hotel is in very bad shape. A short information hereto would have been helpful. ... The restaurant was closed on the second day of our stay, so we had to drive to the next town for dinner. No big deal, but it would have been good to know in advance that the restaurant isn't always open. ... At check out time we were told that we could not use our credit cards. The lines were down.We had to drive into the next town and search for a bank to draw cash money. This took one hour of our time. Due to this inconvenience I asked for a cash discount, but was told that only the owner could approve this. But after a while we were each given a free bottle of wine, for our trouble. ... Restaurant closing times. Road conditions driving to the hotel. ... Wonderful, in the middle of the Chianti region. Close to Siena and well known, major wine and oil producing towns, such as Radda and Gaiole. A great place to rest and relax inbetween the more hectic city tours to i.e. Florenz or Siena. Very beautiful pool and park like setting, quiet and charming, historical yet modern.

We had to leave early before breakfast but the staff arranged to give us coffee and bread before we left even though it was very early in the morning. This was very thoughtful and much appreciated. ... better photographs ... It is a marvelous place to stay. A beautiful setting with wonderful staff.

We were met and very kindly introduced to the property and taken to our room. ... We loved this property. The swimming pool area was lovely, and we enjoyed the gorgeous surroundings. We took the hill path to the village of Lecchi - an arduous, enjoyable walk. We liked the room and the bathroom facilities. We loved the location, the quiet, the beauty of the gardens. The restaurant was below par. VERY slow serving. It took about two hours to get the main course. Overly fancy food. They should stick to less pretentious offerings. This was a disappointment - there were few guests in the restaurant but service was not good at all, although the waitress was pleasant. We ate much better outside of the hotel. Breakfast could be improved a little as well. Overall, we were pleased with our choice and would recommend the property. Heahter Silverman ... All went smoothly. ... Quiet, yet central location. It was magical to be hidden in the hills, yet close to the roads. We didn't mind the rough sand road to the property. That made it more special ... Beautifully reconstructed country house set amidts beautifully kept gardens. Lovely swimming area. Perfect location from which to explore Chianti. The restaurant needs work

Terrific place to stay-food excellant-staff fantastic ... Once the loo was not cleaned but had a sticker to say that it was-that was not nice. It was cold 13 degrees and they had turned the heating off. We asked for it to be turned on but they would not. Everyone must have been cold. Despite this we had a fantastic time at this hotel. They cooked fish for us one night especially and it was tremendous. ... excellant accomodation ... no ... Highly recommend anyone to stay there-excellant location, food and staff

If you are looking for a quite, out of the way, country-side paradise, this is the place for you. As soon as you enter, there is an overwhelming sense of love and attention to detail by the owners that it takes your breath away. The peaceful location keeps you tucked away from the tourist areas yet it’s only a short drive to any of the wonderful places Chianti has to offer. If you don’t want to leave the hotel, you can swim all day in the beautiful pool and eat some of the best food Tuscany has to offer in the very reasonably priced restaurant. And don’t get me started on the wine...! Le Pozze di Lecchi has the right amount of rooms to give you the feeling that the place is all yours. The staff adds to this effect with their genuinely warm and courteous disposition. In my 20 years of traveling the world, I now place this hotel at the top of my 'most loved' places to stay. All I can think about is getting back there again!

the webpage directions said it was 2.5 km. outside of Gaiole di Chiant, according to our odometer and 'Never Lost' the Hertz gps system, it was 4 km. outside of town. considering it was late at night and dark, this was a little disconcerting. furthermore, we did not appreciate the curvy dirt road to the hotel, especially late at night on our first visit. perhaps if the website had been a little more descriptive we would have made another selection, or at least been forewarned. ... although the building was excellently and beautifully built and interior-designed, if we go to this area again, we might stay somewhere else. 1. a little inconvenient to access, although wonderfully situation re: local sites of interest 2. no wi-fi in the room...availability of internet service in the room was an expressed need, and I misunderstood the website, etc. you need to have more specific details on the websites 3. the views weren't good enough...we would have preferred to be with a views of fields, hills, etc., not down in a gorge. we did appreciate however wonderfully quiet it was. ... we were lucky there was not a long wait, I believe it went smoothly, however when I needed info from the desk person, there often were others checking out with very lengthy waits, questions, problems, etc. The weather was stunning, not hot not cold, perfect. ... I believe the menu, while very good, never varied. I believe on your website, there are other locations for a much less price which are similar....I believe your website could have much more descriptive information on the hotels, either more specific 'blanks' to fill in, or just more information so we far away with no experience in this location can have a better idea. Also, our room had no stallshower, just a hand shower at low level in a tub. This was awkward for two 50-year old adults. I don't recall what was said in the ad or our confirmation. Can't say I was mislead, without checking. It was a lovely place, yes a little expensive. One desk clerk offered to let us use their desk computer for internet after they were done, but it would have been too late at night for us. ... Great location for general area (re: Radda, Sienna, Prada outlet in Montevarchi, etc.), not good location in a gorge, inconvenient access on rough dirt road, great quality of construction/remodeling...quiet air conditioner, beautiful details throughout (we are architects/builders); very quiet; pool water cold, not a lot of on-site 'amenities', great coffee, nice breakfast buffet, nice but expensive and a little complex dinner menu, helpful staff (one waitress took the time to translate the whole menu at lunch because there wouldn't be time at dinner), on the expensive side for similar accomodations, I think. Desk clerk tried to be informative.
