Profile

Made up of
four charming houses that have been carefully and lovingly restructured fully respecting its origins Villaggio Poppiena is situated in a panoramic and peaceful position.

The village is composed by four flats, each with indipendent heating, and there is the
possibility of taking meals outside thanks to the terrace and the external loggia provided with tables and chairs.

Inside the farm guests can ride mountain bikes, swim in a beautiful swimming pool situated in a sunny, panoramic position.

At about 1 km from the town of Pratovecchio,
the village is an ideal base to visit famous castles such as that of Porciano (Stia), Poppi, Romena (Pratovecchio), Palagio Fiorentino (Stia), Castel san Niccolò and the important spiritual centres of Camaldoli and Verna (Bibbiena).

Important crafts which have their origins in the Middle Ages are still practised in this area, such as the "Casentino cloth", wrought iron work, that can be admired at the National Biennal Exhibition of the Blacksmith's Art in Stia.

Very important is also wood work which has its centre in Pratovecchio where the
beautiful objects made by the craftsman are on show in "Le Forme del Legno" exhibition.
