we were put in a different apartment but when we queried this the correct apartment was cleaned and we moved into it within 1.5 hours.

it was a great experience, the receptionist was adorable (Lorenzo) and the place was great, very confortable. we are recommending it to people around us. the only problem was for us to get there since 1)the bus forgot to let us down at barberino val d'elsa but i think we would have gotten lost anyway(there are no taxi or anything in the region an it is a long walk from the station. Lorenzo came to pick us up, so everything turned up ok.

Outstanding, would love to stay there again. There are two exits for Poggibongi, although the road signs only indicate one, which we took. If we had taken the second one, finding the place would have been easier.

Gracious people, had a tour of the winery, and the wine maker treated us to his 'family' wine. really fantastic.

The staff came in early to accomodate our early departure. We could have checked out the night before, but never thought of it.

Lovely rennovated Italian farm house. Fantastic views, beautifyl infinity pool, wine making tour during the crush season.

On this website it is called Fattoria Poneta however all the signs to it and at the venue read Burgo Poneta - this caused a bit of confusion as to whether we had the right place!

Unfortunately the hot water didn't work in one of our apartments showers however they did get someone in to look at it and attempt to get it fixed asap. They also gave us 2 free bottles of wine as compensation - a discount would have been preferred as we went for 6 of the 7 days without hot water in the shower but some effort was made which was pleasing.
The other thing is that we are not 'cat' people and there were about 5 or 6 cats roaming around which is fine but they would sit on your doorstep and meow constantly and you couldn't leave the door open or they'd walk in! I appreciate it is a farm stay experience but it was slightly annoying.
Aside from this we had a fantastic stay there and the positives far outweighed any negatives!

Fabulous Tuscan countryside experience in stylish, modern apartments with all the mod cons. The absolute star of Fattoria Poneta is the swimming pool and surrounds where we spent hours - divine with the cascade over the side and looking out over the countryside. Evana was helpful and friendly. If your're after a pure country experience (with a lovely town only 5 - 10 mins drive) this is a great place to stay.

It is a beautiful property with excellent views across the valley to San Gimignano, and lots of places in the garden to explore for children, and this is very important for a family like us. When travelling with 3 children it's important not only to have a place to sleep, but a place to stay, because we don't go on trips everyday, but also spend some days at the apartment, enjoying the pool and relaxing and cooking 'at home'.

I would recommend Borgo Poneta to all our friends, and describe it as a most lovely place to spend a holiday, both in it's own right and as a base from which to explore many of the beautiful sights in Tuscany.
