By car from Milan:
From the highway A1 take exit for "Firenze-Certosa" and from here take the toll-free dual carriage way to Siena. After 22 km get off at "S.Donato" exit, turn left over the bridge and drive in the direction of S.Donato in Poggio. Proceed along the road for 3 km until the village; do not enter into but follow the main road to the left. Take care: on your right side you will see a Romanesque church with medieval tower and on your left you will notice the sign Poggio d'Oro. Turn left and follow the asphalted road for about 1200 m until you come to the third gate marked Poggio d'Oro on your right.
By car from Rome:
From Rome take the highway A1 direction north (Milan, Bologna, Firenze) and reach Florence. First exit you find is "Firenze sud", do not take and keep driving another 4,5 km until you reach the exit "Firenze Certosa". From here take the toll-free dual carriage way to Siena (on the right after the A1 toll payment). After 22 km get off at "S.Donato" exit (the fourth), turn left over the bridge and drive in the direction of S.Donato in Poggio. Proceed along the road for 3 km until the village; do not enter into but follow the main road to the left. Take care: on your right side you will see a Romanesque church with medieval tower and on your left you will notice the sign Poggio d'Oro. Turn left and follow the asphalted road for about 1200 m until you come to the third gate marked Poggio d'Oro on your right.
By car from Florence Airport:
Get out of the airport, turn right and take the highway which leads to Pisa and Genoa. After 3-4 km get off following the signs to Roma and Milano and take the highway A1 direction Roma. Come off at "Firenze-Certosa" (first you will find "Firenze Scandicci, then "Firenze-Certosa") pay your toll and from here take the toll-free dual carriage way to Siena (on the right after the toll payment). After 22 km get off at "S.Donato" exit, turn left over the bridge and drive in the direction of S.Donato in Poggio. Proceed along the road for 3 km until the village; do not enter into but follow the main road to the left.
