 The farmhouse is located in a very useful geographical area, being so close to the most interesting historical sites of Tuscan Maremma: Populonia (7 km), Suvereto (8 km), Massa Marittima (18 km), Bolgheri-Castagneto Carducci (23 km), as well as to other towns that can be easily reached by car or train : Volterra (one hour by car), Pisa (one hour), San Gimignano, Siena and Florence (two hours). Nearby Poggio alle Forche it is possible to visit the five Val di Cornia Parks : San Silvestro (archaelogical-mineral), Baratti and Populonia (archaelogical), Sterpaia, Montioni and Rimigliano (natural parks). In the neighbourhood you can find also a very interesting WWF oasis (Orti del Bottagone - 4 km) and the naturalistic park of Uccellina 75 km far. |

From Pisa (one hour): Take motorway A-12 (green sign) towards Grosseto-Roma and exit Rosignano, after paytool. Take highway S.S.1 Aurelia (four lane) following Grosseto sign and exit Vignale-Riotorto. At the Roundabout follow Grosseto sign, and after 1,5 km on your right you'll find Poggio alle Forche waiting for you.
From Florence (two hours): Take highway FI-PI-LI (four lane) towards Livorno. Take motorway A-12 (green sign) towards Grosseto-Roma. Follow directions as above.
From Rome (two hours ½): Take motorway A-12 (green sign) towards Civitavecchia and at the end of it take S.S.1 Aurelia towards Grosseto; follow on S.S. Aurelia (four lane) towards Livorno-Pisa and exit Follonica Nord. Take the old Aurelia towards Livorno and after 2 km you'll find on your left Poggio alle Forche waiting for you.
