The 21x11 metres pool and the Jacuzzi with waterfalls pool have filtered salt water, and are heated to a constant temperature in spring and autumn. Hotel guests have free access to the pools, with bathing towels available at the pool deck, and provision of sunbeds and umbrellas. |

 Setting and Surrounding Area
The area is rich in cultural and historic heritage. Several civilizations have left their mark, from Etruscan and Roman settlers to the great Florentine families such as the Medici, Lorena, Guidi and Ubaldini, whose villas still grace the region.Over the crest of a small hill a few minutes from Poggio dei Medici lies Scarperia, a typical Tuscany medieval town. It still exhibits evidence of its former role as the Vicar's seat, such as the Vicar's Palace, which housed the administrative and judicial authority of the area. Of historic interest is also the completely restored Medieval Tower, and Saint James and Saint Philip's Churches which display many valuable paintings. Poggio dei Medici Golf and Country Club is also a perfect base from which to explore such historic towns and cities as Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra and Lucca and, of course, Florence the capital of Tuscany. Birthplace of Michelangelo, Tuscany is the heart of Italian culture, history and todays' Italian fashion and gastronomy, yet only 30 minutes away. |
