 Relax, wonder and dream: spend an unforgettable holiday at the Relais Poggio Borgoni. This small country resort lais in the Chianti hills, very easy to reach and just 13 km from the center of Florence. There are a total of nine silent and very comfortable rooms, each with private bathroom, air conditioning, satellite TV an telephone. The bathrooms have showers or whirlpool-baths and are furnished with hair-dryers and a wide selection of bath products. |
 The rooms are cleaned daily. The furnishings are antique and the attention paid to every detail transmits that friendly atmosphere which the owners desire for their clients. Breakfast buffet is served on our panoramic terrace with it's breathtaking view and includes specialities such as home made cakes, fresh fruit, cereals and yoghurt, handmade cheese and salami and of course as many capuccino as you desire. |
 You can enjoy the genuine flavours of tuscan cuisine at our tavern which is located in an ancient oil mill, dating back to the XVI century. In the wine cellar, besides the wine of Poggio Borgoni, the owners have selected the best quality wines of Tuscany. You will dine in the antique olive mill, with its wood-burning fireplace, or on the panoramic terrace. |
 The big swimming pool with whirlpool guarantees good relax after having explored art, cuisine and wines of the area. the pool is surrounded by a lovely garden perfumed by flowering rose and lavenderbushes. At our reception you will find information and assistance to organize your visits at it's best, including the possibility to book winetastings, do reservations for museums and events or a relaxing massage directly at the Relais. The Poggio Borgoni farm originated from the union of the lands of the Archbishops of Florence and those of the Borromeo family. The historical wine cultivation is now carried out by the owners who have renewed the antique vineyards by replanting the most traditional antique variety, Sangiovese, accompanied by complementary varieties. |
 There is as well production of extra-virgin olive oil of exceptional quality with its tipical fruity taste. You can purchase our products that are the owner's passion: wine, extra-virgin olive oil, jams and preserves, all of prime quality, obtained from recipes handed down in the Chianti area. The charming location on the outskirts of Florence, in the Florentine Chianti area, unites the many possibilities of food and wine tours and the easy access to the artistic treasures of Tuscan. Siena, San Gimignano, Lucca and Pisa are only an hour away by car. |
 Florence is reachable by public transportation. The lively nearby town of San Casciano Val di Pesa contains many works of art and historical buildings and also nice shops within its medieval walls. The Medici Palace, the Museum of the Sacred Arts and the nearby Machiavelli's home deserve a visit. The Etruscan tomb called "dell'Arciere" (the Archer) and Badia a Passignano testifies to the antique history of the territory of San Casciano. |
