 The villa was originally a country house used by the Medici family during the hot florentine summers. The villa has an antique well, and pigeon house that date from the times of the Medici. |
Subsequently the house passed through the hands of many nobile families, each one attaching their family crest to the front wall of the house and they can still be seen today. In the 18th century the Baldocci family built an "Oratorio" or chapel dedicated to Saint Girolamo. |
