Isolina was the perfect host. As others have indicated, her breakfasts were the best!! Ask for the crepes with cognac sauce. Romantic farmhouse close to hill towns. Would highly recommend for the couple looking for a central location to relax and visit southern Tuscany.

We thought that the directions to the address shouldn't be on a separate web page, but instead in the general 'how to reach us' page. We had to ask for directions in Montepulciano as I hadn't printe dout the correct page. ... We thought the farmhouse was so much better than expected, the family were lovely and very helpful, the breakfast was the best we had in Italy. We would love to go back. ... The bedrooms are decorated with bveautiful antique furniture, with beautiful views over the farm and hillsides beyond.
The details of having biscotti and vin santo for our use outside our room was lovely. ... A traditional Tuscan farmhouse with stunning views over the hillsides and to the fortified village of Montepulciano. the family are lovely and do everything to make the stay as easy as possible, with great tourist suggestions in the Tuscan region. The breakfast is worth the stay alone!

Credit cards not accepted, only cash. Would have preferred to pay by credit card. ... Excellent breakfasts - 3/4 course breakfast! Very large and very friendly dog on premises ... Excellent Italian breakfasts - Isolina (proprietor) very friendly even though her English was limited:not a problem for us however could be for others. Excellent location, quiet, approx 5 kms out of Montepulciano with great views and access to other areas to visit in the surrounding district. Car essential.

Our host was fantastic and obviously enjoys what she does. This was reflected in the incredibly delicious breakfasts we enjoyed each morning (different each day).
A very minor gripe - the beds were a touch on the firm side! ... When we booked via the internet, we received a comment that there was a problem with Casale a Poggiano's credit card system. We didn't realise that this meant we couldn't pay by credit card once we got there! Fortunately we had enough cash, but this could have been a major problem had we not had the cash. They needed to make it clear on our confirmation e-mail that we needed to bring enough cash to pay. ... It would be helpful to know that Casale a Poggiano is on the road between Pienza and Montepulciano as the only directions state they are 2km outside Montepulciano. Well, this could be confusing (as it was for us) depending upon which direction you are approaching Montepulciano from! ... A comfortable farm-stay B & B with a charming host and fantastic food in a lovely part of Tuscany.

After an extremely long day (we used public tranport from leaving Pisa), once we had settled in, Isolina very kindly provided us with a supper of bread, cheese, meat and wine which was very welcome and at no extra cost. ... compared to the rest of our stay in Italy, Casale a Poggiano was very very quiet and peaceful!! set in beautiful surroundings, with lovely views. ... need a car! although we enjoy walking and the town of montelpulciano was around about a mile away. don't forget the mosquito/insect repellant ... Peaceful, friendly, relaxed, lovely breakfasts - we didnt need lunch! loved it we will return

Picked up by owner from Montepulciano and taken to Casale a Poggiano - really helpful and welcoming ... fantastic breakfasts - different nearly every day. We felt almost like one of the family ... taken to the bus station - made really easy for us ... Described well on web site - e.g. breakfasts, beautiful setting, impressive rooms. Possibly could stress the excellent service ... Peaceful, relaxed holiday in a beautiful setting. Super breakfasts, and Isolina could not have done more to make our stay really enjoyable. Lovely cool bedrooms - no need of air conditioning. You need to hire a car to get best value from the holiday (we did)

Actual directions to the turn off were clear, but it depended on which turn off you took, as there are two. There are two properties side by side and the actual Casale sign is very small. We arrived at dusk and anyone arriving in the dark would be really confused. ... A beatuful location, very peaceful and away fromit all. Isolina was the perfect host. her breakfasts must rank among the worlds best and when the weather is good, can be enjoyed in the garden. A very friendly dog!! We will definitely be going back there. You do need a car though. ... Excellent But sad. It was like saying goodbye to dear friend.

The breakfast was absolutely superb with freshly home-made tartines and cured cheese, all served under beautiful trees by an affable French-speaking hostess. Very comfortable room, clean, well thought out details and decor.
Bravo, Madame!
