I received a genuinely warm welcome and introductions to the other people involved in Agriturismo Poggiacolle, all of whom were exceptionally helpful and generous towards me.

Staying at Poggiacolle is a really great experience. The essential ingredient is the character of the residence, so obviously loved by the people who work within and around its walls. Added to this 'home base' are some of the most beautiful panoramas you will find anywhere. Kind and friendly people make this one of the best places from which to explore Tuscany.

Excellent value for money.
My room had great character and comfort, amazing views and was kept immaculately clean. At one pointI was the only guest because it was so early in the season, and was given the option ofbeing catered or preparing my own breakfast. My picnick hamper was incredibly generous, and I've no doubt that this concern would go out of its way to provide any extra provision towards accommodating its guests.

If you are intrigued, as so many people have been over the ages, by the sight of San Gimignano, there are few places from which full justice to its magic can be seen.
From Agriturismo Poggiacolle, not only can you view an incredibe view of its historical significance, but it is combined with the ongoing and necessarily modern demand for exceptionally good olive oil and really good wines.

we were welcomed by Stefano at 1pm and were fortunate to have access to our room earlier than the stated time of 4pm

we enjoyed our stay emmensly. The accomodation was clean and in a very quiet location.

perfect. the location is central to many tourist attractions eg Siena, Florence and of course San Gimignano. We will definitely recommend it to our friends and hope to return there again soon

There was only one glass in the room for 2 people. I was surprised that the towels were not changed during our stay.

Agriturismo Poggiacolle is in a beautiful site with a wonderful view of the Tuscany landscape and of San Giminiano. The people working there are very nice, and the room was spacious and confortable. We loved our stay!

a wonderful setting and very accessible to places in the region. Far enough from the hustle and bustle of St Gimingnaino but close enough to the action. A very layed back and relaxing holiday

We got all the facilities we were promised although I had to ask to use the shared kitchen so that we wouldn't disturb our baby son by using the kitchen in our room.

Beautiful hilltop situation. Pool not heated! Would have been good for them to have maps for local walking routes available

A beautiful, secluded spot with fabulous views. Slightly basic accommodation but very helpful and friendly staff. Good breakfast.

A very magical place that really gives you a taste of the countryside, yet close enought to a small town that you have a place for lunch and dinner (breakfast only at the house unless you grocery shop and cook yourself.) You need a car to stay here.

Very nice place with an excellent view.
Steffano, the manager, speaks english very well which were of great help to us.
Stefano called another agriturismo at Elba to book a stay for us there. He provided us with books and information and called several places to get a room. Most helpful.
