The owner of Podere Monti personally picked us up at the train station and took us to the farmhouse as he had an appointment near the station that day and we had asked for taxi service because we did not plan to rent a car. ... The farmhouse was absolutely beautiful! It was a relaxing treat indeed to stay there and the owner was very pleasant and helpful to us. ... Very beautiful and spacious; Quiet and romantic; A lovely experience!

since the family does not live on the premise we had to phone silvia to get into the farm house. In case you do not have a mobile phone with you you might have problems getting in. ... we suggest to start breakfast at 8.00 am instead of 9.00 am. if you want to go biking or on a sight seeing trip you might want to leave earlier than 10 or 11 ;-)
... Very personal and well organized ... we had a nice chat about our stay at podere monti and were asked for feedback ... a very beautiful and quiet place to stay! very traditional house with modern facilities where you can relax and enjoy the toskan way of life. great for sight seeing tours (also with the bikes9 since itīs located very close to all the beautiful toskan cities (montalcino, siena, pienza) ... we will definitely come back!!! thanks for a great time! we really liked your pool!!!!

Regarding # 7- facilities, one of them was a jacuzzi, what I realized was that it was impossible to get to unless you swam there and was not really visible or warm enough to reach. It was I think somewhere in the middle of their pool. Perhaps a note that 'jacuzzi available in summertime' would be appropriate to mention. I was there when the temperature was turning cold. And because I was alone in the building I think the owners wanted to be conservative with the heating in the public dining and lounge areas. I would have appreciated being asked if those areas were warm enough or be shown how to turn on the heat if needed and shut off when not in the rooms. Or perhaps I was being too polite. ... Not the most accessible without a car. Dining possiblites without a car are limited. Catering or hiring of cook needs a minimum of 10 people. There was a fireplace in the office area, which may or may not be usable. It would have added to the ambiance if it were working. ... Beautifully restored farmhouse, well appointed, spacious, simply but comfortably furnished. No phones nor tv in rooms. Set on a quiet hillside not far from the main road surrounded by green hills and farms. Huge modern kitchen which would have best served a group or family that could take advantage of it. One drawback is you can see the Terme di Montepulciano spa from the backyard, which means you can see its factory like structure and lights. Not the most appealing if you are looking for truly rustic surroundings all the way round. Best visited by more than a single traveler.

The lettering on the 'Podere Monti' sign on the road is too small to see easily. If we had been told that it also said Agriturismo, we could have found the place more easily. But the woman whom we contacted by phone was very helpful in helping us find it. ... A lovely place. ... Worth a trip.

Having not been to Tuscany before, we were a little confused by the location of the podere. We did not really understand that the town it is located in was just south of Montepulciano. Probably need to say in directions that one should turn onto road toward Chianciano Terme and that the podere is in San Albino (which is just s. of Montepulciano). ... Quality of rooms: excellent!!!! The facility was incredibly clean and neat. The owners are wonderful. Cooking class w/ Mauricio was fun. Dinners were great!
One of the actual views was not shown in the images online. This was the view which looks out to the industrial/commecial site nearby. I know that this would deter people from coming. But I hope that the owners are encouraged to plant trees which will obscure this view. (Our accommodations did not overlook this, but I would think that it is a problem.) ... see above re: directions ... Delightful farm. Completely renovated within the last 5 years. Charming hosts. Convenient to Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalicino.
