 Located in the hills of the Chianti region near Castellina in Chianti, Antico Podere Marciano looks directly out over the spectacular panorama of the Val d'Elsa. The landscape seen from its wide terraces seems as if it were lifted straight off a Tuscan postcard - gently sloping hills dotted with cypresses, castles and stone farmhouses surrounded by vineyards spread out into the distance, where you can also see the outlined spires of the famous towers of San Gimignano. |
 Antico Podere Marciano offers its guests a choice beteen standard plus and superior double rooms, all of which have been restored with great care. Many of the original characteristics of this old rural house, typical of the Chianti region, have been retained and the interior has been finely decorated with a careful eye for details. Each room has its own unique furnishings and interior decoration and all rooms include spacious and comfortable services, while some rooms even have a small private garden with independent entrance. |
 Common areas include the living room equipped with a large fireplace and bar, the den with its library and small fireplace, the wide terraces, and the 16 x 8 meter swimming pool with hydro-massage and waterfall. The buildings are surrounded by a vast garden and wooded area where there are paths to explore on foot or on mountain bike. |
 The hotel has a wide terrace, "la Piazzetta", which offers a spectacular view of the area, and a pleasant cozy courtyard, "la Corte", next to the bar. Breakfast and meals are served under the beautiful outdoor loggia which overlooks the valley. The small restaurant of Antico Podere Marciano prepares dinner for its guests on request. A barbeque area has been created in the spacious garden. Private parking available. |
