By car from A1 Highway: either you come from south (Rome) or from north (Bologna, Milan), exit at "Firenze Certosa" and proceed in direction Siena. The very first exit is San Casciano Val di Pesa. Exit at San Casciano Val di Pesa and continue for about 5 km until you reach the town of San Casciano. At the very beginning of the town, turn right in direction of Cerbaia - Empoli. After three km from this deviation you will reach a stop. Turn right again and proceed for 1, 5 km. The road you will be driving in is called Via Empolese. Slow down when you reach Via Empolese n° 64 (Entrance to the Antinori Cellars). Soon after a few meters you will see a narrow street on your right. This is called Via Pisignano. Take it and drive for two km until you will see a little unpaved road on the right with a very pretty wooden sign indicating "Podere La Villa". After 500 meters of gravel road you will have reached your destination!
Coming from Florence: If you come from the city of Florence, go in direction of Siena until the big roundabout of Firenze Certosa and follow the instructions as above. In maximum 40 minutes you will be at Podere La Villa.
Coming from Pisa airport: Rent a car in the airport and once you get out of the airport keep going on the left in direction of Florence. After driving for 40 mintes, depending on the traffic, exit at "Ginestra Fiorentina". At the stop of the exit turn right and proceed for about 10-15 minutes always straight ahead until you will be in the town of Cerbaia. Follow in direction of San Casciano. Pass a little hamlet called "Talente" and proceed for another 5\6 km until you will see a big sign indicating that you are in the commune of "San Casciano". In the proximity of this sign you will see a long building on the right with green windows. When you see this sign slow down and turn left. You will be in Via Pisignano. Proceed for another 2 km until you will see a small unpaved road and a pretty wooden sign on the right indicating "Podere La Villa". After 500 meters of gravel road you will be at your destination. |
